Thanks guys Ya I am the treeplanter... im actually getting ready for another great season in the Canadian North!! heading up in two weeks or so for a bunch of months, cant wait )
im considering looking into tree planting if i dont get into my college course next year. any tips on how to get started or insights into it? i have a couple of contacts and a reference that were given to me, and all i really know is that its damn hard work... but i could make enough to not worry so much about my tuition. anyway, where are you gonna be working?
happy earthday. group hug! no, seriously, i want to plant trees in the middle of the woods with you. as soon as possible. lol.
Hey, You should def look more into it, cause it is damn hard work and you kinda have to know enough about it to know if you can do it or not, and if you know you can do it before you go you will do it!!... I would suggest reading about it and watch some youtube, there is some really fun stuff about treeplanting, ill try and find you some I think that people in this forum would really digg it, I've been in it for 5 years now and its become a huge part of who I am. It is def not for everyone at all but I find everything about it so appealing to me, the lifestyle, freedom, money, people, experiences..... And convenience, it doesnt really conflict with school and lots of planters are in school off season, living in a camp of around 60 80 people or so, beautiful scenery, away from everything, no stress, just being productive I feel, on all levels, making money, friends... The best way i'd describe it is being extreme, so you get the extremes of everything, I had the worst days of my life there, but also the best... literally!! Im gonna start in Northern Ontario, Kapuskasing, then probably Alberta, GP area, maybe Manitoba, and then Northern Quebec in August. I might have told you this before, if I was in BC I would come take you with me
