Does anyone here like the grateful dead?

I absolutely love them. Crazy Fingers is one of my favorite tunes by them

Well i figured not everyone here would fit into some sort of stereotype

 

they don't.. but i'd be willing to bet at least 90% of the SL likes the grateful dead.
that's all.

 

LOVE them.

and Phish, and String Cheese Incident, and moe., and umphrey's, and...

But in no way would I say my tastes are purely jam band music. I doubt anyone's are.

I dig the Dead. Anyone heard their cover of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds? It's great.

nah man i wish.
i did get to see Phish's final show in Coventry, VT which was fantastic.

But they are touring again now. I wana quit my job and follow them but being responsible..and in debt is holding me back.

Wow thanks, I checked out SCI and they are awesome. From what i hear i like them more than phish.

 

Albany show was AWESOME. Next up Nassau, then MSG and Jersey.

 

I love the Grateful Dead.. love Phish a whole lot more personally but I have a lot of respect for GD. I did not have the opportunity to see them live but I did get to meet Jerry Garcia when I was very young. I don't even remember it but my parents have the pics. I've seen "The Dead" though and will be seeing them again at Shoreline and the Gorge in May! I really can't wait for Phish this summer though. The Saturday night Hampton show sparked that feeling that I had been missing. They are something else.

 

i love pretty much any jam bands,

but i don't only listen to jam bands, just mostly.

 

Agreed except I have been a SCI fan for a while now. I have listened to the Dead a lot more recently than I ever have before and can say I like them better than Phish as well. I think I might have heard just a little bit too much Phish blasting through my speakers, I just don't feel the same about them anymore.

I bought a Phish album randomly after hearing so many people liked them.. figured I'd give em a try... yeah, no.
