this is the only thing in my dreads, I used some lose strands of hair and bound it to the dread then let the hair dread back in again... nothing but hair and the hook...

these are both posted here somewhere else, but i will try to take new ones.
i never actually make a conscious effort to decorate my hair (except peyote stitches which are fun), but every once in a while, i come across something that would fit on a lock, so i put it in.
my dreads have accumulated quite a bit of stuff actually.
i have rings, peyote stitches, random beads... one wrap that a friend did... idk, lotsa stuff.

yeah, there easy to make..patterns not so much for me. That said, mine all broke due to bad choice in string. meh...look it up on youtube!

I have an acorn pendant I want to throw onto a dread, made with a hemp wrap, not sure.
dunno why, I just always feel really good with that necklace on, but I'm not really a necklace kinda girl. I'm sure mr. acorn will feel happy in my hair
