I think "fit" is someone that can do things physically that the average person cannot do.

In England, fit is generallt used to describe an attractive person who would probably be a good lay.

My friends and I use it to both describe some one in terms of physical health aswell as physical attractivness.

One thing I have learned is that a person can be fit, but not be healthy.

Conversely, a person can be healthy and not be fit.

I would say the latter applies to me. I am overweight, but have normal blood pressure and cholesterol, and I haven't been sick in years. I wouldn't say I am fit, but I plan on getting fit this summer.

    You should.

It might sound like a pretty brah thing to say, but being in shape feels great. It really does. Endorphins or whatever... feels good. I'm usually really fit in the summer but then I get lazy during the winter. The other seasons are just kind of transition periods. I honestly just feel better about life when I'm fit. It's not a look issue either, I'm not really one to worry about what I look like... but it just, well, feels good.

I wouldn't be able to work out at a gym though, that would drive me insane. I'm lucky enough to have a job that's extremely physically intensive.

You will not hear me say that in 5 years.

Agreed. I'm far more happy, in tune and rational when I am riding my bike or walking long distances daily. I also like regular swims in the ocean for the same reason. Having a physically intensive job also helps and personally I find it far superior to working in an office.

Oh, trust me, I know. When I go for a five mile walk it's pretty much a natural high for me.

I lost about 15 lbs last summer, but gained it all back. I hope to lose more this summer and keep it off. The problem is that when the weather started getting shitty, I stopped my daily walks.

Yeah, I guess you gotta find a source of motivation or some crap like that. It's pretty damn hard for me. It's very hard for me to bullshit myself.

I plan to live in warm climates for the rest of my life. Fuck this cold.

Man, if I lived near an ocean I would spend half the day there. I gotta get filthy rich and buy me a beach-front house.

I don't think I could work in an office after working a good physical job (unless I get paid ridiculously well... but I do mean ridiculously).

I ride my bike everywhere around town. It's fairly bike friendly. I love to control traffic on streets on which people speed and kids play around... I just ride my bike enough into the lane to block traffic. Too bad that this town ain't got too many sidewalks, and only one bike path.

    There is no God.

    I agree.
When I'm in shape, I have great abundance of energy, and I'm happy to do things. I've been back in the gym for about a month now, and the results are obvious. I feel fucking awesome every day.

Fit, to me, means to be in good shape and able to perform strenuous activity and also recover quickly from said activity.

To me, fit means being toned (defined muscles) and in good shape, as in, you can look at that person and tell that they spend time being physically active. They have energy, stamina, and of course are in great health.

Fit to me means I don't have to force it in. It just fits.

I really don't know what fit means.

I feel pretty darn good, I'm in better shape at 30 years old than my 9 year old son is. I beat that kid in a race not long ago. He couldn't keep up with me. At first I thought he was going to kill me, he took off and I was lagging behind, then all of a sudden, I ended up leaving him in my dust while he was panting and sweating like crazy. Haha!

    Ahhh, couch potatoes. ;)
