Saw this movie last night, it was so good! Anyone else here heard of it? It's actually a Canadian film too, I was really impressed. I rather enjoy zombie movies anyway, but it was not just your average run of the mill flesh eating zombie movie...I truly felt the plot to be rather smart, and so quarky and unique and like nothing i've ever seen before. And I like that Fido kept hitting on the kids mom, and the happy 50's muisic while the flesh eating zombies where attacking. Yay Fido!
I just saw this movie and I think I might be obsessed with it right now... I can't believe it took me so long to discover it. Zombie movies were getting so old for me, and when I saw this on the rack at the local rental gallery, I thought it was just another one of those. But then, I saw a trailer, and yeah. It was pretty wicked. I'll be buying it with my meager paycheck when it comes in next Friday. The story was really great, and yes, the zombie-proper 50's mom-love thing was pretty cute, necrophilia-screechers be damned! But did this remind anyone else of Edward Scissorhands if it had a happy ending? Especially the part where she's asking him if he remembered what it was like before he died and he got that far-off look in his eyes... It's amazing how many touching moments they worked into such a ridiculous movie.
yay! someone else whose seen it! I know what you meant- it was deff the most touching and creative zombie movie i've ever seen.
I just got the Subversive Film club on my campus to agree to show it in March. It's right up their alley, so hooray for me forcing my fandom on the masses! :reddevil: If only I'd known about it last year when they were having Dystopian Film month...
I just loved Fido. It was strange and quirky and Billy Connelley was just hilarious. I was a pet zombie.
i own this film... i couldn't make it through it. it was boring.. my roommate loves it though.. guess i just don't get it... =(
I loved it. I thought from the previews that it would be terrible. But I was bored at work one night and watched it on netflix. It is my obsession movie for now. I thought it was great.
