Yay! I voted barefoot too! It was about 6:55 am when I got to the polls and the weather was fairly cool (low 40s F). I voted wearing my shorts, t-shirt, and bare feet! No one said anything but I did get some stares Tonight Im going to get some fast food barefoot and then do some grocery shopping too. Where's everyone barefooting lately?
I sure voted barefoot! I voted for president last time barefoot, as well. If I had been confronted and denied entry (my polling station is in a church), there would have been a major row and I would have called the police, probably. I may be forced to accept anti-barefoot bullshit from Walmart and Denny's, but since I know that NO LAW prohibits going barefoot, especially when exercising the right to vote, there is no way I would have conceded defeat and put on shoes to vote, or turned away without voting. They would have been in for a war. As it is, I definitely saw people staring at my bare feet. I was wearing denim shorts and a nice t-shirt -- in general I looked respectable (for a long-hair). I had a very easy time voting. No line, no wait, no hassle. -Jeffrey
