Today is supposedly the break in the season

It has been T-shirt weather for about 8 months now but this morning the sky went grey and it has been pissing down with rain for hours. Its mostly downhill from here. Goodbye sun, hello cool. wet days and frosty, shivering nights.

i was just looking at my globe... is kangaroo island covered in kangaroos?

 

Ha Ha! The driest city, in the driest state in Australia, send its rain to the great dividing range?!!

They are really, really common. Its pretty much impossible to drive around at night there without almost killing one.

 

It alternates between hot and cold at the moment. I hate Aprils.

 

It is the Dry season in Central America. Hot as heck.

Good thing I am on vacation in the USA. Nice and cool where I am.

i have never seen a real kangaroo.. just wallaby's in the zoo...

i've always wanted to give a kangaroo a machine gun and have him hunt the poachers after watching crocodile dundee...

 

I envy you and your C. American home. My friend lived there and loved it.

Anyways, I can not wait for May! May and October are my favorite months! April on the other hand, as well as January and February, can suck it!

 

There are places here where you can walk around with them and they will eat out of your hand, like goats in a petting zoo, except they don't eat the paper bag and your pants as well. There are also places in the bush that if you visit just as the sun is going down, they all come out of the forest to feed...there are literally thousands of wild roos strolling about and they aren't even that worried about people walking near them.

 

The only good kangaroo is a dead one, preferably raped.

 

I know they're cute Andrew but you shouldn't rape the 'roos.

 

I have killed several.
