they are nice every couple weeks just to get a couple pounds of dirt outta your dreads but otherwise they are a waste of time not to mention water.

with a quart of water you can wash just fine without wasting all the water a shower does..

 

Hell yeah.

Tis why I only shower when I stink or when I need to actually clean up for something.

baths are better, cuz one can put clothes in afterwards. after that, flush with it.

 

I love taking showers when I take them... when it's cold out... I don't care of them... I have to blow dry my hair, and all the crap, but in the summer, it's a must, I can't stand feeling sticky and sweaty...

 

I think showers are part of the reason we live longer than cave men. You get sick easier when you don't shower. You smell bad (bacteria). You look bad.

I have gone without a shower for more than a month in the middle of summer in a polluted 100 degree weather country, Korea. I got sick every time I had to not shower for so long. If you are actually doing stuff that is. If you change into clean clothes and don't do shit then it is not as big of a deal.

Not showering increases the risk of heat stroke and cold weather injuries. There are quite a few reasons showering is good for you.

Nope, if you're showering regularly (say every day) in a cold environment then it can be bad. If you take a hot shower and go immediately outside in the cold, that's bad. Too rapid a change in temp.

 

Time for some "don't drop the soap" quips.

 

I don't think I said that going from warm to cold was a good idea. I also think that what I said was twisted and obscured in a hyperbolic manner inconsistent to my statement... I don't really care. If you people don't want to shower, then more women for me huh? I don't like to talk to smelly people though, and I know most my co-workers make fun of smelly people.

I didn't say I endorsed not showering. I said IF. Just to say it's not always good.
I've never gone more than around a week without showering.

my water heater uses less electricity than my apartment heater, so during the winter, showers are the most economical method for maintaining body heat.

 

Some people water the garden with the leftover tub water when a sprinkler ban is in effect.

I Shower Outdoors For 7 Months Of The Year.

The Shower Is Mounted On A Tripod, And Every Few Weeks I

Move It To Another Spot In The Garden Or Courtyard.

It Is Really Fantastic Showering At Night, Under The Moon And Stars.

If I Turn The Shower On Before I Go Outside, So The Warm Air Is

Rising From The Hot Water On The Ground, I Can Shower Quite

Comfortably When The Temp Is As Low As 12c Or 52f...

The Only Real Drawback I Have Encountered With Outdoor Showers, Is

When It's Raining, You End Up Getting All Wet.
