Please Help Identify A Purple Shroom I Found

im really interested in trying shrooms, and so today i went in search, and came across these ones on an unused softball oval. i dont have any photos of them, but they were in groups of about 10, the biggest having caps of about 10 cm and they are a metallic purple colour, the stems were about 3-5cm and the gills were pretty much the same colour as the cap and stems, that being the purple/silver colour


ive seen a few pictures on other websites with a similiar looking mushroom and it says it is not poisonous, but if anyone else could give me any information on whether they are toxic or not

They don't sound like any species of psilocybe, also you should NEVER consume mushrooms that you have picked and tried to identify; there are so many similar looking poisononous mushrooms that closely resemble non poisononous. You really need an experienced mycologist to make these calls, just ask around to some people you know who smoke or do other drugs, you'll have better luck finding real magic mushrooms that won't kill you.

 

yeah thanks man, im not going to consume them until i know for sure from someone experienced that they are poisonous.. me and lots of other people in my area do drugs, but shrooms are extremly rare, so not many people know much about them

 

what area? and really what you described doesnt sound like a magic mushroom at all. I mean, I know I could be wrong, but i've been lookin at various mushrooms for a long time and can't think of any psychedelic mushroom that fits your description.

i live in the sydney area.. ive never seen the mushroom before either, im just interested to find out if it actually is a psilocybe..

chances are they arent psychedelic. In fact, they are more likely to hurt you then make you trip.

yeah, australia, i also found some other ones today too..
an orange brown, with caps about 5 cm, they stand about 7cm tall

 

if theyr like a light tan brownish they could be. check for blue bruising when your handle them, and if they have a hollow stem .. those dont necessarily mean they are psilocibes, but theyr often signs of magic mushrooms. put pictures up. that would help alot
