Friday Night

hell yes. literally 8 or so months ago the dead was my favorite band, but i still really had no idea about the whole jam band scene. then i went to harvest fest, a small fest in arkansas that i bet less than 5000 people attended. the only band i had ever heard of on the line up was boombox and the avett brothers, and i literally mostly went their for the drugs. what followed was the absolute best weekend of my life, it was a completely life changing experience. the people, the feeling of love, the adventure, the things that would only ever happen at a fest and of cource the music. its truly undescribable listening to leftover salmon for the first time live or hearing umphreys kill it during a hurricane. i will never forget it

 

See this is the problem that I had and tons of other people had, the future, even being just 20 seems far off in the future when you're 16, but it's really not. But I remember what it's like to be that age, it sounds stupid when 40 year olds says it but I was a teenager a few years ago and I remember being a teenager you think you're invincible, we live in(well for at least the last 50 years) in an era where teenagers have had a complete and total lack of any need for responsibility then all of human history and now it becomes a feeling of invincibility

 

seems like you got a good head on your shoulders at 16. and some great experiences already. just enjoy every minute. what im doing.

yea umphrey's is incredible. fuckin skillful artists.

i duno if youve seen moe. live but they are more of a old boy, smoky bar jam band...and they are epic. string cheese incident is also sick

 

im 21 and think 40 is so far off. but then i think thats how i felt about being 21 when i was 16 ha.

god time literally flies.

cant help but to think were all so lucky to have a decent 60 or so years on this earth to just live. truely a blessing. metaphorically that is haha.

 

i agree with the varying consistency, however it's only been different when you get it from a different dealer... around here at least

the stuff i was getting before was a lot weaker than this stuff. once i get a new set of bags though i've always stick to snorting half a bag at first to gage the strength

 

ive never seen moe. live but i def no who they are. the conch is a great example of a jam band doing a great studio album. broo will b my first live experience with them. and as for sci, i also love them but have yet to see em live, but seeing as how their only show this year will be rothbury i wont be seeing them this year. ill settle for seeing eoto at wakarusa.

 

i do know i can think i am invincable but my od on methadones several weeks ago has opened my eyes, but its still something i struggle with. i do think i can occasionally handle a shot, but at the same time i no i cant methadones (or any opiate) all day long and expect to b alright

yea that blows about SCI. im dying to see 311 since they have a new album coming out the day after my b-day...june 4th, but they're only touring west coast stupid mother fuks

 

goddamn, to each his own. but i never even contemplated H or injecting at 16.
i just wanted to get high, steal booze from my parents, and get 18yr olds to but cigs for me lol.

i guess things have changed in 5 years.

 

yah after i got burned twice my second week in tulsa i always demanded to try my product b4 i bought. mostly the week shit i got though came from thugs who thought they could rip me off because i wore tie dye. strangly i trusted red necks a lot more with it than the gangsters

 

naw i do all that two, i just happen to have a huge sweet tooth for opiates. and hell yes to that bowl if u make it to b-roo. im heading down their by myself so itd be good to have a friend

 

man...this makes me feel like a nerd haha...i didnt do anything in high school. i tried weed and drank a little but didnt actually start to smoke until last year and still really dont drink. ive done percs a few times, would like to try h but dont know where to get it around here and im still unsure if id want to try it

 

my brother, me, and possibly others might be going. ill definitely give you the heads up when i know.

 

nah man. believe it or not, most kids dont do H and smoke pot that young. I didnt start smoking till senior year. then i became a head in college lol.

but theres no rush. age lets you appreciate it more.

dont rush into it.

haha yeah im not gonna rush out to get it or anything...the only time i ever do opiates is if my friend tells me that someones selling it for cheap lol. my brother and stepsister had a bunch of problems with opiates around my age so i dont do them much

 

an important first step. exposure. now listen to all the jam band music u can and find a concert or festival

 

If only I could..
I live in Canada, and go to Sweden during the summers.
Neither of those gets a lot of jam band exposure

 

if you actually live near philly, it's really easy to get. i'm like 70% sure that's where this stuff comes from. either philly or NY i'm not sure. just keep your ears open at parties and stuff

@ stephen- yeah quality is definitely not the problem here. this stuff is the best i've ever had, and it's been the same stuff for a loooong time now. i hope he doesn't switch things up
