United States Cops

the last cop i encountered gave me a ticket for "improper use of four way flashers" for going 73 in a 55. much cheaper than the speeding ticket but still $135 total. nice enough guy i guess. he said it was because i was honest with him. i told him i had a speeding ticket a couple years ago when he asked, and i just told him the truth about normal stuff like who owned the car, who's name the insurance was in, etc. didn't have any weed on me (i don't think).

 

None of the cops have bothered me for awhile. They seem to not care as much as they used to around here, but since it's been getting warmer there have been a LOT more out.

Meh I don't hate cops really. Some are real douchebags who abuse their power, and some are just fine, or cool even. They still scare me though....

 

one time a cop in VA pulled a friend and me over and as soon as he walked up to the car he said " i smell pot, get out of the car". we hadnt been smoking so we get out and he basically rips the car apart looking for a crumb. he eventually got pissed as hell and let us go.

the dumb ass didnt search us and we had about an oz between the two of us. idiot country cops.

Seriously most cops aren't that bad, I've never been arrested but I've been let go a hell of a lot of times when I could've been. Cops are the same as people anywhere, it's just they have more power then most people. Remember cops can only enforce laws which your legislative branch makes and your executive branch signs into law and enforces, take it up with them.

 

i've only been pulled over once and i was doin 66 in a 50, so this guy could of really fucked my world up, but he just let me off w/ a warning, and he was pretty nice, but so was I and my record is clean.

this didnt happen to me, but my friends got pulled over and the cop only said, "license, registration." as soon as he hands it to him, the cop rips it out of his hands, opens his door and pulls him out, and tells the passenger to get out. then, he proceeds to search the car, but not very thorughly, just in large areas. and durnig all of this the cop is being a douche. after he finds nothing, he gives him a warning for his tail light. then he explains that a car fitting the description of my freinds was seen in the niehgborhood the same night a girl was shot in the face w/ a bb gun.

they didnt get in trouble but how the fuck can he do that? he didnt ask to search, he just ripped him out of the car, patted him down, and searched the car.

 

That's true, but they still arrest people for laws that they, themselves, don't even agree with.

For example:
Cop A: This cop has NO problem with marijuana and sees nothing wrong with it, but it's against the law, so he arrests me for possessing it.

Cop B: This cop HATES marijuana and sees it as the worst thing in the world, so he arrests me for possessing it.

Who would you have more respect for? I dislike both of them, because they're both arresting me when I'm not hurting anyone, but I RESPECT "Cop B" more, because he isn't just doing it because someone else told him that he should and he really feels that marijuana is wrong.

Most cops are more like "Cop A" though, because they are letting the government tell them what's right and wrong. Sure, it's their job, but the fact that they CHOSE to enforce laws that they don't necessarily agree with shows me that they are weak bitches because they allow someone else(lawmakers) to make their decisions for them and tell them what's right and what's wrong.

Now for "Cop C": This cop is completely dedicated to his duties of serving and protecting and realizes that people who aren't hurting anyone and who aren't being wreckless or dangerous shouldn't be arrested. He just arrests people who commit violent crimes and/or theft.

Cops should be more like "Cop C". That's not the way the world works though, so we have "Cop A's" all over the place. lol Sure, the laws need to change before this can work, but cops are still bitches for letting the government tell them what's right and what's wrong.

 

The problem is if cops just enforce the law as they wish that can lead to a massive public backlash, along with the fact they're breaking the oath they take. The fact that there are so many cops that are willing to let people go with warnings is a bit of a miracle. Hell once we were smoking in a park after dark, we go back to our cars, and oh shit there's a cop in the parking lot, now we know he's either going to follow me and my friend, or this other kid. We we were the 1st car out, and my friend gunned it, like we're going near 80, almost 85 at one point in a 35, and this cop knew how fast we were going because he had to go even faster to catch up. And when he pulled us over we didn't even have seatbelts on(we were more worried about all the other crap we had) but shit long story short he let us go with just a warning to pay more attention after we said we had been at the park for this science thing for school, which was true but it ended an hour beforehand

 

That sounds like a cool cop.

The point I'm trying to make is that most cops enforce laws that they don't agree with, and they know that they are gonna be expected to arrest people for those laws before they even take their oath. They are basically agreeing to blindly follow the government and do their bidding, without taking into account that some "crimes" are victimless and shouldn't be enforced. They are basically the lemmings in an unfair legal system and are too focused on throwing people in jail based on unfair laws, as opposed to actually serving and protecting.

 

I was doing over 100mph in a 35zone on the way to see the grateful dead.. and the popo got me on a speed trap, the rate of speed I had already from his dead stop he could never of caught me. But I did pull over and stop..
"wheres the fire?"
"We're going to see the dead and this goofy bitch stole my freinds ticket so she could trade it for drugs"
"license Reg"
Shorten it up, came back with a ticket said i was going 53mph when I wasnt, then said hes a big grateful dead fan and wished he could go.. "Hope your buddy makes its in" he said.
