you know you can have visual hallucinations, and audio hallucinations, but can you have hallucinations for other senses?

like you feel something differently or you feel something that doesnt exist. like right now i just tasted a load of salt but i didnt eat anything salty

Erowid has some interesting things besides drug information.

    Sleep deprivation.

    Sensory deprivation.

Just a few things for you to look in to.

my dad has a friend who went to iraq and lost a limb from a grenade or something similar. but he got some condition where you can still feel your lost limb and stuff. i looked into it one day it's pretty interesting. idk if thats what your interested in hearing but he has pain from the non existant leg which is pretty fucked.

That sounds cool. I recently read Duma Key by Stephen King. It is kind of about a guy who loses his arm and what happens after wards...

Maybe you should look into it, it is a very interesting read.

yeah phantom limbs.. like 80 % of people who lose any body part feel pain and other feelings in their nonexistant limb, because the body is in shock.

people who have lost their eye commonly have visual hallucinations, that seem to appear in their missing eye.

    Ive had tactile hallucinations before

Like it feels like your holding something but your not, or the texture on something feels differant than it should

I seem to get more of these hallucinations (and auditory) the more my tolerance is, less buzzed but more hallucinations

Have you ever heard of synesthesia? It's basically where your senses get crossed and you can see sounds, you can taste colors, etc. This can occur on some psychedelics, but some people experience it naturally. I guess it kinda relates to the thread topic.

I've never gotten synesthesia from any of the crazy drugs I've done. Sorta lame.

You can hallucinate with any of the five senses. At least I have.

We actually watched a video on this in psychology last semester! It's called a phantom arm or limb. It was really neat. Some people felt like the couldn't unclench their first that wasn't there, so they'd have them stick their real arm in a box with a mirror in it so it looked like they were looking at their missing hand. So they would move around their real hand and the pressure would be taken off the phantom.

    ^ that's crazy!

i'd be so pissed if i lost an arm and it still got itchy and hurt and everything. it's like, you have all the bad points of having limbs and none of the good points about not having one

    that made no sense. haha

    tactile disorder.

some people have it mildly like when you hear nails on a chalk board. some down syndrome kids have it real bad. like they cant touch velvet or wet things.

    i get it a bit.

nail files make me cringe and things like velcro lol.

in school, trapper-keepers used to kill me.

it can emerge during drug use.
