Great book! Wasn't quite sure if i should put it in fiction or non-fiction, the storyline is fiction, but the facts are real. This came out after the de vinci code as a prequel. i havn't read the devinci code yet, but i am glad i picked this up first.

Basically, it explains the formation of the free masons and the illuminati and ties it into clues within the vattican and other religiouse/scientific links. but there is much much much much more to the story. It takes place within one day in over 700 pages, so just imagine the visual imagery the author puts off.

once you get past the first two chapters is becomes very fast pace and doesnt seem to slow down. its a long book, but the chapters are pretty short so its easy to read for a bit and put the book down (actually quite hard to put it down).

Terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible... I cannot overemphasize this...

    Shitty book.

Pop-literature by a terrible author. Dan Brown should be executes for publishing such pure crap.

Historically inaccurate, inane, plot driven, and pretty much a cheap Hollywood movie in book form.

i saw the movie it was kind of like a documentary i thought it was boring though cause i already know about how secret societies and religion are the same thing to control the poor and keep all the money but i did learn some new stuff.

i though the movie wasnt out yet? i've seen devinci code, which i actually didnt think was so good. anyway, yeah i've known much about the secret societies and religions prior to this, which just makes the storyline that much better. im not really reading it for info, just for a good story.

I read it and I really liked it. The occult intrigues me, so I was just drawn along for the ride. I can't help but wonder how much is real about the illuminati symbolism in the book. I never thought that they were a satanic cult as they were depicted. And why could'nt the brands be re manufactured? What was the name of the sculptor that paved the way for Richard to follow?

I loved this book along with all of Dan Brown's works... I read Angels and Demons, The Da Vinci Code, then his other books, and I have to say they really opened my mind and made me think more. they're absolutely amazing books, very fast paced and exciting. The kind you just can't put down because you wanna know what happens next.

Angels and Demons, Davinci Code I haven't read but I've read his other's and I agree with the last post. I agree that the movie was kinda boring- maybe the book will be better. I also read a couple hundred pages into Angels and Demons and it seemed good but gf and I split apart and never went back to it.

I loved this book, along with all of Dan Brown's books. He always bases his books on facts, uses factual data to blend storylines I have found quite intriguing and believeable.
I'm a tough critic and actually read a lot. Dan Brown is an excellent author...IMO
and I'd recommend any of his books, too.

A terrible author? Yes. But if he really should be executed for his books, then, I am afraid, we should execute every other novelist sold at Borders and Barnes & Noble just for the sake of justice, because most of them write no better than Dan Brown, and this would be an utter genre-fiction-authors’ holocaust! No, I don’t like the idea. Who shall bury them all?!

Angels and Demons is so much better than The Da Vinci Code, just as a book it is better. I really liked it and have read most of it twice. Hopefully the film will be better that that of The Da Vinci Code.

Both were entertaining reads, but I'd do some research before talking about how factual they were.

Good books when you wanna turn off your brain for a bit.

I enjoyed Angels and Demons much more than The Da Vinci Code. Even though I am very into early Christianity and the Gnostics.

Honestly, don't buy into all the 'controversy'. Read the book and judge for yourself. I started reading The Da Vinci Code yesterday, and the book is really intelligently written, if one can put it that way.

Plus, the religious sect mentioned in the book, the Opus Dei, really exists. Only one of the many facts contained in the book.

Your best bet would be reading the book, and doing some Googling along the way just to get some more background (if you're really THAT into it).
