How many mothers have had to have a hyterectomy here? I was just sent to the ER and vitals blod works was good BUT i had hemmorherring . It looked like a murder scene in the hosp room. the bed had to get changed 3 times and my bed pad 3 times- NOT to mention Work wouldn't call an ambulance for me just a cab. My hubby was on his to get me too. The Dr stated i have 1 of 2 surgeries a hysterectomy or a DNC or something like a DNC i go see the Gyno on Wed and i go for ultrasound on may 5th. i'm in good spirits i realize i have medical issues that if i were to have a baby it would be life threatening for either baby or i- hubby and i discussed and in the next few years if we have the money we are going to adopt a boy . TOO many girls in this household!! WAHH man verbaliness. i'd rather bullit proof the walls and floors before hearing yelling ,. HAHA.

So i'm just asking so any advice - anyone with experience? etc
    BTW i'm only 27

I haven't had a hysterectomy but I have had the hemoraging issue on four or five occasions since beginning menopause. The first time I was 42. They gave me pills, provera I think, that stopped the bleeding immediately. Then a few years later, same results. Three years ago they did a d&c to make sure it wasn't something that just wasn't showing up on the tests. Now, I'm dealing with it again. Last week I passed a lump. The doctor thinks it was a fibroid tumor. But he says he's never heard of a fibroid coming out on its own. Anyway, they sent it off to be tested. I'm trying to get in for an ultrasound but so far the people have not called me back with an appointment. The doctor thinks that I may need to take progesterone for a few days every six months or so to balance out the overabundance of estrogen I have in my body. Estrogen is stored in fat cells and since I have a LOT of fat cells I have a lot of estrogen. Anyway, its something to ask your doctor about. A hysterectomy would seem like a good thing on some days. I've been dealing with this off and on daily bleeding for over 16 years now. I'm ready for it to quit for good. Since that lump came out last week the bleeding has almost completely stopped again.

Good luck in whatever is going on with you. I hope they find an answer.
