I have a mother with paranoia schizophrenia. I find it really hard to talk to her because she left when I was two, and whenever she speaks to me she says weird stuff like identifying as aboriginal even though she's white, and saying that I'm adopted, and that the Prime Minister is out to get her... Or that she sees me walking down the street in Darwin, even though I live in Sydney...

Does anyone else have a parent with some issue like this? How do you deal with it? I want to get rid of the resentment I feel towards her, even though I know it's not her fault..

    yeah, you got a problem.
the problem, is a communication problem between you two.
what you need to do, is get with a psychotherapist who is skill in working with schizophrenics.
they can teach you how to communicate with your mother. they can also, help you work on the antagonism you have with her.

if she is not on medication, you need to have her evaluate, for that.
