I have white things in my dreads. I am assuming that they are caused from breakage. They are like little bulbs attached to the ends of my hair. How in the world do I get rid of them. They are causing my distress!

can ya get pics of it?

    did you ever use wax?

    do you get dandruff?

i really have no clue what it could be, but those two issues are what i hear about the most...

pics would probably help people diagnose what it could be, personally im just kinda tossin out ideas and makin a post to bump your thread so someone that has the knowledge can answer :)

They're either split ends or hair follicles. Why the distress?

I'm guessing the distress is that the OP has dark hair. Those follicle white dots are kinda freaky on us who have really dark hair - it can look nitish and gross.

I've found nothing that works on those white dots. Follicles are just too fatty and clingy. They don't dye well either, though that's how I deal. I dye my head lighter so they don't show up.

You'll never get rid of them, we just have to deal.

    ack! sorry :(

if it makes you feel any better i've been called "ma'am", or various other things to imply that i am a female, when im looking right at the person...long hair throws people off sometimes

it's definitely gotta be follicles though...in which case, there's really nothing you can do as everyone said

edit: my quote didnt work right...wtf stupid
