Well there is also the fact that there are a lot of toxins and bacteria in their water to begin with, so their immune systems may be geared toward other things. Hygiene hypothesis says that would mean they should be better equipped to deal with it, but hey, it's just a hypothesis.
I don't know how their health facilities are, so I don't want to make any assumptions there... I don't know, but I've heard things about some clinics, but not in the freakin' capital...
Could weather and humidity play a part? I'm stumped.

According to the World Health Organization:

    http://www.who.int/csr/don/2009_04_28/en/index.html

28 April 2009--The situation continues to evolve rapidly. As of 19:15 GMT, 28 April 2009, seven countries have officially reported cases of swine influenza A/H1N1 infection. The United States Government has reported 64 laboratory confirmed human cases, with no deaths. Mexico has reported 26 confirmed human cases of infection including seven deaths.
The following countries have reported laboratory confirmed cases with no deaths - Canada (6), New Zealand (3), the United Kingdom (2), Israel (2) and Spain (2).

This doesn't sound like a very deathly virus.

There is serious under-reporting going on, along with inconsistency on local, state, and federal levels.

Keep in mind also that testing for the virus is only conducted on several individuals out of possible dozens or hundreds of suspected cases. The numbers given by WHO and CDC are not exactly accurate.

Also at this stage, pandemic is inevitable.

I haven't heard much about the whole "swine flu"/"H1N1" thing since the whole media uproar. I know there have been about 60 people in my area (Hampton Roads, VA - Norfolk, Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg, etc) with it, 1 confirmed student of the local high school I graduated from and some of my friend's siblings still attend.

I'm in no bit worried about it, still. If I get it, so be it. Not much I can do. It's nonsense. You can't avoid death. I'm surprised there hasn't been a pandemic declared on death itself.

The panic surrounding this is horribly exaggerated. 50,000 cases in the world and only 231 deaths. Thats less then .5 percent dying from swine flu. Here in Manitoba Canada there has been 5 deaths last time I checked. There normally is 100 deaths a year here from ordinarily from the flu. Thats not much of an increase.

I'm pretty sure I've had this already a couple weeks ago. It was like a cold with varied sympotms and it was unlike any cold that I've had before. The worst part of it was that a couple symptoms lasted a week longer then the rest of it. I wouldn't worry about it unless your already seriously ill, very young, or very old.
