Why do simple things like a BLT sammich taste 5 times better when you are stoned?

 

Because you're so hungry.haha.The first time I got intense munchies I came home and enjoyed food like I never had before :tongue:

Also, last semester after a party I was still drunk and stoned and I had the best pizza ever!I still haven't gone back to see if it really was that good or if it was just me.

 

Well, BLTs are delicious no matter wether youre sober or stoned.
But yes, weed makes food taste better.
I love to cook when Im stoned. everything is so much better, and it gets my creative juices flowing.

I would submit that food tastes better when you are stoned because you are stoned. Everything is better.

 

heightened sense of taste. the incredible satisfaction of sating your hunger with something that you take for granted. actually tasting the food you are eating.

because CBN from the cannabis attaches to receptors that regulate the feeling of hunger. they also attach to receptors on the tongue which cause cottonmouth.

Well, to elaborate further endocannabinoids in the hypothalamus (the aforementioned appetite regulator) activate the receptors there, which causes the hunger. I'm not too sure if it actually effects the taste or not. We know it's an intensifier drug, IE makes everything better.

But think about it, food always tastes better while hungry. Perhaps being hungry plus the intensifying effects of pleasure that THC has is what causes food to taste so damn good.

i thought it was because the thc releases more dopamine (also from the hypothalamus) which just makes you happier so naturally things would taste better?

I went to my party this Saturday and picked up 20 Tim Bits to bring with me for people. The girls in the shop came to the window stuffing at least 40 into the 20 size box.

Was great, because it's only like $2.27 for all those Tim Bits!
