No - within its' limited sphere, it absolute, as are all the laws of mathematics within the range of mathematics. But such logical formulations are all limited. 2+2=4 tells us nothing about 2-2. And it tells us only about one limited aspect of existence. The supra-rational knowledge is of a different order, and is all comprehensive. Reason has to limit in order to define, but the higher consciousness is without limitation or the need for definition. Reason has to deal with reality one fragment at a time. Intuitive knowledge in the higher sense, deals with reality as a whole - all at once.
While I do believe Swami Prabhupada was devoted and dedicated to God in his own way, he was far from a perfect master or a perfect devotee, in my opinion. Some of the things he has said about great teachers from other schools of thought (he bad mouthed Swami Vivekananda and Sri Ramakrishna, for example) are extremely hurtful and saddening. Such behavior is not the way of a true master. Also, in his commentaries in many places the sanskrit has been mistranslated or misinterpreted in order to suit his own narrow view of Hindu philosophy, and his claim that his explanation of the Gita is the sole true one and all others are manipulated by the commentators is simply ludicrous and screams of fundamentalism. I just don't like it. That said, he has done a lot to spread the message of bhakti and the Bhagavatam, and ISKCON has been an entry point to spirituality for a lot of people. I greatly respect him for that and his dedication to his cause and tireless work ethic. And whatever problems I have with SP, most of the Hare Krishnas I have met have made very positive impressions on me.
