it would be great to be in touch with other families who have chosen to be out of the systems choice of learning.
to go on outings or even let the kids hang out .
let me know. got some great sites for work sheets and info.
we have lots of ideas for days out and i do an art class every two weeks with amber and a friend. last sunday was marbel a t shirt day.then swimming.friday tends to be swimming each week.other than this we just see what amber would like to do...
the museums are great here, not so much the class divide ...but we work
    round that one...
anyway just leave a messege and i will get back to you

We home schooled two kids, we taught them to think for themselves and to not be repeaters.
Our daughter when to Comm College at 12 and has a MA at 20 and our son graduated HS at 13.
We let them learn at their own pace. Taught them the following

    Math
    History
    Science
    natural law
    and they read the classics.

Schools make children into repeaters, they can repeat the information but if the do not understand why they are doing it they become repeaters. Able to remember inane facts with no understanding the the world.

We taught by going in to the garden and talk about plants, we taught them by building a crystal radio set, or common chemical experiments in the kitchen.
However we did not belong to any group, most groups for home schoolers are very christian and have a lot of dogma that we did not find helpful.

Love them and teach them to think nature will do the rest.

    Peace
    Dan

hi very true.let the chidren grow...
paul my partner built a battery car with amber, she
really enjoyed this and has started a pressed flower book to go with the growing of veg.it is great to hear how well your children have done also..

it seems so sad now when i see the kids coming from school all angry and shouting ,yet amber has been so happy .
and you are right the repeating way has been the way for along time
in schooling, from parrot fashion the head boy or girl so on...

i have noticed alot of religious groups,
we have stayed clear of many groups but i found one to print work sheets and even how to make flubber.....
    take care saff..
