That a bit of a leap don't you think? I believe in free will and a person can use it to decide which side they are on and if a person refuses to be on God's side then by default they are on Satan's side and they become Satan's puppets to be used as he sees fit. As for why God would care, we are his children and he wants us to get the most out of life and so is teaching us to benefit ourselves. As for Satan, he doesn't care what kind of lives we have, as long as we are not on God's side.
it wasn't a leap i made. it's a leap YOU made when you said satan is behind religious zealotry. by saying that you're saying that a person cannot make that decision on their own without satan planting it. if that's the case, then a human is just a puppet being pulled this way and that...without an original thought in their head that wasn't planted there by a supernatural being.
Don't read the Bible much do you? First I didn't say Satan was behind religious zealotry, I said he was behind hateful religious zealotry and if you read the Bible more you would know that. Here start with this: (2 Corinthians 4:4) ...the god of this system of things (Satan) has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.
thanks for the putdown. that was very helpful. happy i could make you feel superior. i've done my good deed for the day.
Take it anyway you want but when you start saying things that seem to disagree with what the Bible says, I start thinking you may not be up on your Bible reading. Simple as that. Sorry if I was mistaken. By the way, did you get a chance to read the scripture I quoted?
because the jehovah witness say that theirs no hell when in that particular bible I can find verses about hell and then they say that the trinity doesnt exist when I can clearly find it, now how do i find it wrong is by the groups beliefs like i stated before.
Jehovah's witnesses don't say there is no hell, they just say there is no fire there. To them Hell is the common grave of mankind. As for the Trinity, call me when you find that word in the Bible.
the bible is a book, written by a person, interpreted by another person, then read to us by another person - somewhere in that process things have and will continue to go wrong... its up to the individual to realize the difference between truth, lies and religious fanaticism
