I think if I were ever charged with a marijuana crime (whether it be possession or growing), I would fight it as much as possible, even taking it to the Supreme Court if able, stating that, at least in my case, marijuana is a spiritual, naturally occurring herb and it is a crime against humanity and my divine natural right to grow a natural plant or use it for spiritual purposes. God. I'd love to go to Washington and protest for the legalization of natural, spiritual discovery. I say we march the lawn of the national mall and emphasize that the government works for us, not we for them! lol
I've been arrested on marijuana charges and I didn't fight it or resist it, in anyway. I told the bitchcops and the court how I felt about marijuana and that I'm not gonna stop doing something that isn't hurting anyone, but the possibility of being arrested is just one of the risks we have to take, as marijuana smokers. We know it SHOULDN'T be illegal, but we also know that it IS illegal, so it just comes with the territory. I'll GLADLY go to jail for something I believe in:sifone:
I've pondered over this before. If it really came down to it... I think I'd ask the mofos to just go ahead and shoot me
I agree with you. I'd rather be persecuted for something I find to be a just cause than live freely watching the cause abandoned, and it's amazing how this country was built on the same premise, yet we've come so far from that idea. We, as American's, are traitors of British rule, fled for our liberties as individuals, fled from taxes and restrictions to only build a government which today restricts its people, taxes the people relentlessly and tells us what is "right" and "safe" for us. The only person that should be able to determine what is unsafe for me is myself, not my country, and I find my country to be the most dangerous of my securities.
I honestly think I would use all my resources to fight the cause. I would spend the money on lawyers if need be. I would be one of those court cases you study in high school government/history classes. lol Bassett vs. some fucked up American government ideology Perhaps being related to Martha Washington would really help get my foot in the door. I can see the headlines now. George's Nephew fights for Legalization
Absolutely. That's my main gripe with the government and law enforcement. The government thinks they should be able to tell us that we should stop doing something that makes us happy and isn't hurting ANYONE, and the cops are bitches for allowing the government to tell them what's right and wrong, as opposed to thinking for themselves.
Exactly my point. lol I love breaking the law, even laws that shouldn't be broken, just because I know it pisses the guv'ment off
Haha. True. I have a few law enforcement/ems/firefighter/city worker friends, and one of them grows, and just about all of them smoke, and if not, they are constantly breaking some other substance laws.
I've known some cool law enforcement people too, but most of them are bitchboys who follow someone else's ideals, while ignoring their own. Like I said in another thread, I have more respect for a cop who HATES marijuana and arrests me people for it than I do for cops who have no problem with marijuana, but still arrest people for it.
People said the same thing about the colonists. The slaves... Women... Prohibition... Blacks... Gays... shall I continue?
