I have my 2004 Ford Escape for sell right now on craigslist. I was thinking about getting a celica. I think my car will only sell for 7000, so are there any neat cars around that price range you recommend? Kind of sporty maybe? If anyone is actually interested in the escape pm me. I won't post it here.
ha i got you all beat... 1987 Volvo Stationwagon 240DL only now it has blue hubs and stickers all over it lol
Picturing it with the blue hubs and stickers all over it sound pretty ghetto I don't currently drive.
I got my 1998 ford contour SVT for $5k and it only had 40k miles on it. considering its perfect condition, the mofucka was a steal. And its like a sporty version of a grandma car. 4 doors and nice trunk space but more powerful than your average civic or something
i drive a '97 ford taurus that cost me $3100 a few years ago. it's got a little over 100,000 miles on it and has developed some rust spots.. and that's a huge step up from my previous (first) car. i mostly ride my bike tho
I don't even have a license and don't care if I get one anytime soon.I love old shitty cars though
There's this used car lot by my house and I always see the guy who owns it standing in front of it on my way to school. Everyday when I walk by I tell him when I get my license I'm gonna by the old Volkswagen bus that is parked at the back. It's only like $700 so it's probably a piece of shit but it would be fun to have. ...Well I'd by a better car first, then I'd buy the van later for fun lol.
Here's my old car. I got rid of it because it took high octane gas and wasn't very fuel efficient. Nice cars though if you can get one, expensive though. I'm currently on the market as well. I do miss it though...at was such a fun car to drive. [/IMG] My kick ass (nerdy) fife and drum license plate. lol
Yeah it does suck, and for a while a few months ago, they stopped selling 91 octane here at all the gas stations, so I was really shit out of luck. That's what made me decide to get rid of it. I loved the car, still love Z's, but I hated the expenses. I prefer older cars though (and VW's)
I drive a 1995 Corolla stick shift. It's so frickin' reliable, it's outstanding. I bought it 6 years ago for $5k and it had less than 100,000 kms on it. It has about 220,000 kms on it now. I used to have a 1985 Plymouth Reliant-K car named Walter that was dulled yellow and only had a tape deck. I bought it from my great Aunt for $1k. I can't even tell you how many parties I went to, and the party ended up in that car. Most dependable vehicle ever, but the frame rusted out and I couldn't justify all the labour and costs of putting in a new frame to such an old vehicle. Hahaha. It was so old it was a classic vehicle I was driving for awhile there. Ahhh... *reminisces*
What about like a late 90s acura integra GSR its great on gas reliable has a good bit of power for its class, and its sporty: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.j...=8000&cardist=723&standard=false&rdpage=thumb
dont get a celica no no no and DO NOT get a Ford I'd recommend like a 6th gen civic hatch, look for an EX model They aren't anything significant on the drag without lots of $$$ (don't attempt to make a civic look good for cheap, cause it'll look just that), but they are Hondas. Good MPG, good reliability, and with a little effort and a little bit of dough they can look really nice. As long as you don't put altezza lights on it and a fart-cannon, you'll be good 350zs are sooooo sexy. Dude if you wanna be fuckin awesome, and spend dough for a killer street car - find a 300zx shell and drop for a RB20DET engine and swap that sucker in. lol but that's just me +1 on the GSR!!!
at most gas stations they have 89, 91, and 93 octane right? no, it's 87, 89, and 91... actually i've seen four and five different octane levels at one pump before... anyways, i've heard and seen on mythbusters i think (they could easily be wrong though. scientists?! pfffft) that higher octane fuel is a rip off. that it doesn't make a (significant) difference. but that might not be the case if your vehicle ONLY takes one type. then it might be needed. is that what you mean dude?
spoken like a true salesman well then...uh....hey! w'sup?:coolgleamA: jk. we both have sig. others. (JK babe if you happen to read this)
I made this thread a few weeks ago and someone resurrected it. I decided the Escape was nice and reliable so I'm sticking with it for now. It gets pretty good gas mileage too.
