Im thinking bout gettin my hips pierced and was wondering if anyone has had them done, If it hurts and how to clean them. I have my belly button pierced and got that done like 2 or 3 weeks ago.
My ex had a surface piercing along his hip, it rejected faster then I've ever seen a piercing go before. He works in one of the best piercing shops in Ontario too, so I wouldn't hold your breath on it staying
Surface piercings almost ALWAYS reject. It's just not a good idea. But if you're hellbent on getting yr hips done, you can get microdermals. They're single point surface anchors, so you could get two on each hip, and it'd look like you had a bar running under them, but there's only a small area that needs to heal. A bit of warning, though. Hips are a high stress area, there's always stuff bumping into 'em, clothes rubbing up against them, there's a good chance one of 'em will get ripped out. Which probably isn't fun.
*squirms at hip-banging* I'm always cracking mine into things and it fucking hurts! Don't even want to imagine how it would be with a piercing there too....
A coworker of mine is about to get her chest done and I warned her the same thing. Only get surface piercings if you're looking for something temporary, or it's a waste of money because they don't last. The ones I love best though are the corset piercings. So fucking sexy on women, but again not something that lasts which sucks.
This^ Do it if its what you really want but just don't be surprised if they dont last. I was always getting my sternum piercing caught on my bra. :/ A few months after getting it done i had to take it out. It was a good experience though, fav piercing I've ever had.
