Good point and well said. Although this does seem kinda like monday morning quaterbacking. The first arriving officers didnt know that it was only a suicide. Raising questions afterwards is a good idea but i believe that would all come to the same conclusion that the cops did it all for the safety of the kids and teachers. Cell phones returned, cars returned, No harm done.

Actually, it was brought to you by WHAM Channel 13 News in Rochester.

Your first response pretty much proves you cannot be bothered to ask serious questions and are content to just go along with whatever you're told.

    Sad, really.

And as far as the cell phones, I don't own one myself. But when you lock down a school and get everyone all freaked out, parents are probably going to want to be able to contact their children to make sure they're OK.

Cell phones to set off bombs? Yeah, maybe in a James Bond movie.

Also, in America we are supposed to have something called the 4th Amendment, which protects people from unreasonable searches and seizures. Normally, the police would have to have probable cause to search somebody's vehicle.

This incident is a perfect example of how easily sheeple will give up their rights when a bogus crisis is created, especially in the post-9/11 world of endless media hysteria and fearmongering over every little thing they can find to hype.

I could just as well blame it on Bush since Obama is clearly following in his footsteps.

    Dippity doo da...
Cellular Phones are very unpredictable, To create a detonator with another phone will most likely go off before its placed at its target.
It would take skills that most teens dont have.. While it could be simply done, using the vibration hardware as a ignition < bomber can not predict who and what will call this phone at any given time. (you have a text message for free minutes and downloads.. kaaaaaBOOM.. your dead
Cell battery life is also very weak and dying once out of range of the network,
hiding the bomb will lower its receiving(losing bars) from network and kill it faster..

A real pro would buy a model plane kit and use its controls.. 90% probable that transmitter frequency isnt being used unless your around a model plane airport...

theres a few names that might bring all this 'bull shit' into prospective.

    Cho Seung-Hui

    eric harris and david klebold

    Charles Andrew Williams

    Robert Steinhaeuser

    Jeff Weise

these are all notorious campus killers...no wonder people freak. know one wants another vt university on their hands. this is all similar to, say, national defense preparations during the cold war. ridiculous.

Cho was prescribed the antidepressant drug Prozac prior to his rampage, a substance suspected by Peter Breggin and David Healy of leading to suicidal behaviors...

false, cho had no anti depressants in his system at the time of his death. the only medication he ever took was while in middle school. for a month.

there was a team assembled to investigate cho himself,...his whole life story.

the final report on him was pretty extensive and interesting. i read the whole damn thing in one sitting. and im confident to say he was clean of any and every drug.

ill link up with the report if you want. there is a toxicology report, but whether the public can see it is beyond me.

LOL, yeah nobody has rochester on any target list! LOL Your world is so small.

"easily sheeple will give up their rights" who was hurt in this incident??? What are you so afraid of???? Cell phones were returned, cars back out of the inpound, Lockers back to students use, and the incident ended without any furthur harm. You yell that the authorities are wrong but its easy for you because you are not responsible for their safety.
You are a very sad Man-Boy.

If you are able to read this, try reading the 4th Amendment and learn a little something about the way things are supposed to work in a somewhat civilized nation.

"somewhat civilized nation" LOL, I dont think anyone would shed a tear if you decided to venture out and find yourself a more civilized place to live.

New Jersey v. T. L. O., 469 U.S. 325 (1985), held that searches in public schools do not require warrants.

They have to wait for an autopsy to confirm a suicide. If someone killed this kid, no one wants them to be able to get rid of any evidence...
