Star Trek Movie

Who else but me would start this thread........

So, the new movie opens nation wide tomorrow. I however am going to an early showing at 7pm this evening and I am jazzed. I am excited about the way a lot of these older movie franchises like Superman, Batman and such have been given a new lease on life and I hope that Star Trek with JJ Abrams at the helm will make a difference. I hope this is going to be a good movie but it does look good so far.

I never really got in to Star Trek but I always kind of liked the idea of being a Trekkie for some reason. I will definitely be out to see this tomorrow or Saturday

 

I heard this movie is supposed to be "darker" than the other ones.

Kind of like how The Dark Night was a more serious take on the original batman movies.

 

I like the next generation much more than the original.

 

From what I understand, and I only say this becuse I did not want to spoil the movie for myself or anyone else for that matter, it's a total remake with the same characters and they follow some of the same rules of Star Trek but they changed up the time line a little and some of the characters aspects. It supposed to be another reality, so not quite the same world as the original series. JJ Abrams is the guy who does Fringe and Lost so I am also looking forward to his take on it.

I may be wrong but again I did not want to spoil it. Yes, it supposed to be much darker. I am really really looking forward to it.

I never watched any old star trek stuff, but the movie looks really good, Ill definitely have to see it this weekend

If you plan on going with a girl pick a different movie.

I've never been a fan of Star Trek, but I'm planning on getting out to see this movie. The tailer just looks too good.

I'll wait till it comes out on DVD.

Then I can steal the case from blockbuster and put my burnt copy in there.

 

This is one of those movies that you have to see in a theater.

I didn't want to see wolverine that much either but I did.

 

OK, I just have to say it was awesome! I am looking forward to seeing it again.

 

I'm seeing it tomorrow and dressing up in as Wesley Crusher with a couple of my friends that are dressing up as Data and Jean-Luke Picard.

Same here, and I really liked Voyager as well And First contact is my fav Star trek movie
