I went to Italy for 2 weeks last summer what part are you going to? perhaps I can give you some tips, unless you've already been there before haha
I'm home too! But i've been home for a couple days. That doesn't mean I still cant be celebrating, though. WOOOO!! Haha. Have fun in Italy! I'd love to go there someday.
I'm done for the summer, but ain't going home 'cos I gotta work. Plus I like my house here in Cambridge better, I can do whatever I like and come and go at all hours and nobody gives a fuck.
I am going to Rome, Florence, Venice and a few others....after Italy i am on a 5 day cruise of the Greek Islands. I have never been before so i am sure to take lots of pictures. Any tips would be great!
To attract the attention of a waiter, speak very loudly in a Bronx accent. he will then come and serve you. Don't be put off by the sneer and the spit in your coffee, all italian waiters are like that.
watch venice man...pretty shit place in my opinion..dirty as fuck and crowds of pick pockets, first day there on the way to the hotel with all my shit a crowd of little **** farts were following us and managed to rob my friend without her knowing. There was about 10 of them all under the age of 15. I caught one of them trying to rob me but then had a knife pulled on me..was too preoccupied to notice the little **** taking the wallet out of my bag. They ran but my friend said she saw them get my wallet so I caught up with the slowest guy (others long gone) and beat him to a bloody crying mess on the ground. he was about 13, me 15. Was saving for that trip for ages and had close to half a grand robbed.
Naples IMO is the sketchiest place in Italy. Really nasty, it's all dirty and the whole city smells of dogshit due to the piles of the stuff on the pavements. Take a bus to the Pompeii museum, then one to Pompeii itself. Skip the city, there's MUCH nicer ones, like Rome or Milan (busy but vibrant). If you can, get out into the countryside around Lake Garda (northern Italy). Fucking beautiful.
Lake Garda is where we stayed on our 2nd year school tour...definitely on of the most beautiful places iv been too. If im correct there is a mountain there aswell (or near it) our whole class nearly died there fun shit
