I personally dont mind my loose hairs, I know its just a part of the dreading process. But i have so many people coming up to me and asking if im taking my dreads out because they are getting rather loose. It's funny how many people think they know how to make dreads though, i cant tell you how many times ive heard, "oh, you need to wax those." or "you should go to a salon to get those done" and the best one so far is "just use regular shampoo, you just need to rinse it well." I guess this is just kind of an update.. i think im at 1.5 wks maybe two.
your only a couple weeks in.....your GONNA have loose hairs....i still have a little "halo" on my head and im at the 4 year mark....me personally, i like em lol i just let em get sucked in by themselves.
i have enough loose hairs that they are starting to make little dreads out of themselves. if you dont like loose hair, get some wax, go to a salon, crochet it, or just cut them shits off
this was my loose hairs thread: http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=352644&highlight=loose+hairs&f=209 i twisted and ripped some of it to make 3 baby locks, but 2 of those have also gotten loose since, and the other one is trying to have dready sex with a fat dread ive got looooads of loose hair around my hairline, especially around my neck area. i dont do anything with it,, it seems that if i do t&r it, it just comes loose again so its wasted effort love 'em and leave 'em, unless you really hate them..
lol dready sex my whole head is loose hairs with a few dread babies scattered around. Embrace the looseness
with the loose ends that got really long and would not get sucked in a dread i threaded them into my dread with a needle. Other than that I usually leave them to do their own thing,i like whispy bits like bed-head dreads
I think of loose hairs between my dreads as the knots I used to have in my normal hair. I just let 'em be.IMHO, white people with dreads w/out loose hairs are way weirder than those with . lol, what would 'non-bed-head-dreads' be?
lol, i really dont mind the loose hairs. if i ever start feeling negatively towards my dreads, i just shake my head and i remember why i deal with the unmanagability and patience i must exhibit with these awesome little dudes.
ah, when I drive in my car with the windows down I swear it pulls hair out of my dreads. I have a crazy halo of frizz and I'm at... 4 months, now. so, I guess they kind of get sucked in with maturity or excessive crocheting? little hairs always fall out when I scrub my scalp in the shower. I guess the point is, straight hair is inevitable?
i gots so much loose hair but im tired of putting it in im gonna let my hair dread its self and suck it up and i use aloe vero to put them down
