I'd like to say..FUCK ALL THIS POSER SHIT I want to fuck up every scene/emo faggot that i see You fags and all your crying music when you've never had shit rough in your life, you just make yourself think you do Suck my dick listen to real metal!!! Pantera Superjoint Ritual Sepultura Morbid Angel Crowbar Eyehategod Outlaw Order Down OLD Metallica Slayer Mayhem Black Sabbath Devildriver Exodus fuckin a i could go on forever
When becomes a band mainstream and why should they immediately be considered bad if they get the most popular metal? I thought Slayer and Sepultura are considered pretty mainstream nowadays. Aren't you posing now with your cliché true metal shit?
Well i certaintly could have made a bigger list, but it would have taken up alot of time so i only named a few.. And im not a fuckin poser i contribute my part to the music community i live this shit everyday
Nobody is 100% metalhead, therefore someone who acts like he 'lives that shit' can be regarded just as much as a poser as a person who's slightly into the genre but has the same look/style/behaviour etc.... As in other words, I'm not calling you a poser but you shouldn't worry that much about posers. After all, most people regarded as such are just doing their thing, just like you but in another way.
fuck i agree with you that new metal is sucking rubbery ass. its so much that somehow the line has been blurred. i hear teenage girls calling the jonas brothers....prepare...to.....rip....your....dick.....off........HEAVY METAL! 3000 obscenities!!!!!!!!!!!!! emo metal emo punk all the new softcore metal is ridiculous, so much so i hear people call pop bands hard core? WTFTIBS!!!!! i cant describe how angry i get when people tell me daughtry's guitarist is amazing or that Hannah Montannah rocks so hard. i sentence these poor fucks to be mercilessly beaten by Kerry King. like shit i dont care if thats what youre into but dont tell me hannah montannah is a great guitarist, and please learn the difference between heavy metal and dickless fags that like to touch each other backstage, before going out giving a fake half assed performance. WHY DOES NO ONE HAVE THE DECENCY TO PLAY A SOLO ANYMORE!?!?!?!?!
Songs with solo's are not hip anymore so you won't hear them alot in the mainstream music industry. Of course it's silly to think that just because there's new metal all other stuff is wiped out or something. Or did you mean why nobody has the decency to play a solo on the regular channels anymore? Ah well, perhaps music industry just has nothing to do with decency.
Man i just get so mad when i think about it.. Music is changing for the worst and i hate to watch it go that way.. We need a fucking revolution in the music industry
You guys are absolutely ridiculous when you bag on the new genres of metal. Life is change, people are changing, everything is constantly changing. Fucking deal... Things evolve. If you don't like it stick to the "old" shit. But if every new band sounded like the old bands. They wouldn't be original, and it wouldn't really be artistic, and meaningful! Am I right? These so called new bands are getting inspiration from the older bands.. And I guarantee that you could find a few "new" bands that sound a lot like the "old" bands. These new bands have solo's, sweeps, break downs, and blast beats. You just have to open your minds to it... If your life is being a "metal head", you'd definitely be open to the new metal scene, and what it has to offer. But always be rooted to your... roots. There is a fine line between emo/screamo, hardcore, and metal. They have different roots! An some aren't even similar! Get the facts right, and learn more about your so called musically inhibited lifestyle.
Well, if you dislike a new genre you just don't like it. Nothing wrong with that. If only these true metal nitwits accepted that that's their problem and not the problem of those new bands or their fans. I dislike emo/screamo, -core stuff and nu metal as well, so I just ignore it. Blaming those stuff for the lack of good metal is just pathetic. Anyway, I also like to point out that if a band plays the 'old fashioned' way with the more traditional kind of solo's, riffs etc. doesn't mean it can not be artistic or meaningful. In my opinion a band that just plays awesome new songs in the style of an older genre is more artistic than a nu metal band like Slipknot.
The problem stems mostly from that compound word. Most of these new bands come to the metal scene thinking "Hey, lets just be as brutal as possible, cuz that makes us metal." Which is where they begin to almost mock real metal with their attitude and aesthetics.
im talkin about the faggots that wear the flannel shirts, tight ass pants, put on a fitted hat, the air ones or whatever they're "rockin" that think if they scream/do a deep ass growl the entire song, have a breakdown every 30 seconds, and do non stop pinch harmonics that theyre fucking metal. theyre EMBERASSING metal
Meh, I'm not gonna even bother bashing on all that stuff. I know I hate it and it's not my thing and knowing that myself good enough for me... I will however say FUCK YEAH PANTERA AND OLD METALLICA AND MEGADETH!
Well, i most certainly am not a "scene/emo faggot" (you dont believe me, look at my pics) but i am one who enjoys listening to the bands that these children listen to. Suicide Silence Annotations of an Autopsy Winds of Plague Bring Me The Horizon Job For a Cowboy Black Dahlia Murder As Blood Runs Black Bleeding Through etc etc. Point being, i guess you just need the right taste in music to truly appreciate these bands. I at first wasnt a fan of the genre, but after being around my friends, who listen to it non-stop, it kind of grew on me, and now its one of the main genres i listen to.
Fuck all these new pussy bands, ^^ that whole list is pure garbage. THRASH TILL DEATH!!!!!!!! :sifone::beatdeadhorse5:
I always get myself involved in Slipknot arguments on forums and it's a fatal flaw (lol) of mine, but I'd just like to say that Slipknot was awesome and they continue to be awesome. They abandoned a lot of metal conventions and re-made metal in their image. Not liking 'em is great, but they're definitely just as artistic. They fuse a lot of different genres into their music but they just get labeled as nu-metal due to the time they came out. Nu-metal has a few set standards, but Slipknot has never sounded like those nu-metal bands. I'm not mad when people call 'em nu-metal, I think it's hilarious when people use that as an insult, to be honest. I'll admit that at times, they have nu-metal influence but the fact is, they've always fused death metal, black metal, thrash, noise, jazz, jungle, hip-hop, world music, avant-garde, hard rock, pop, ambient etc and I could list examples where all those are present. They made their own sound which is a melting pot of all those influences together. They don't just genre flip flop, by sticking to the conventions of one genre. They seemlessly blend them together, both in sound and the way they go about things. They've also remained a consistently passionate band, while keeping metal theatrical and angry. Not to mention they, moreso over the past two albums, have embraced "art" more than they used to. Watch Voliminal, which has a lot in common with a Harmony Korine movie. Watch their videos (well most of them) from Volume 3 or All Hope Is Gone. Their new video, Sulfur, is more than just a typical metal headbanging video. It's based on Ascension" by Bill Viola. Or you watch Vermilion Pt. 2 and it's a video that contemplates nature/beauty. Even older videos like Left Behind had a great sense of atmosphere/cinematography, while telling a story. I know I won't change anybody's mind. Maybe I'll even get called stupid for thinking this about Slipknot but they've been my favourite band for many years, even while discovering "true metal", and the many other genres I listen to. I don't know why more metal heads don't just appreciate the fact that Slipknot helped make metal popular again. Metalheads should be embracing that, even if they don't like the band themselves. I agree with the people who think it's dumb to hate music cuz it's popular. And I agree that some people need to embrace the changes in music. There isn't a genre that's more "real" than the other. I see a band like Job for a Cowboy getting hated on for not being real death metal and for being POSER SCENE BULLSHIT and it boggles my mind. Is it because the precious death metal entered the Billboard 200 as 54? Or is it just coincidence? *shrugs*
