OK! I am getting so fucking sick of these ''perfect'' religious people saying that rock n' roll music is the sound of the devil. I mean really. Just because you are extremely religious, doesn't mean you can't listen to rock. I mean come on, I'm a Christian myself, and I'm a 15-year old bisexual who listens to the Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane. But I still praise god! I'm serious, these people think their kids are going to get raised better by moving their kids away from drugs and rock? NO. It's going to make shit a lot worse. I swear, I can take a new born baby to a Rainbow Gathering with a Rolling Stones record in his hand and he'd grow up to be a responsible young man who wants to help the Earth and its people. But if i take a new born baby and put it with a family enslaved to society, it would probably grow up to be some type of asshole office worker who can't get off his damn cell phone while driving and treats everyone like shit because he knows that he has a better income than you. See what I mean, lifestyles and music change everything, and moving your kids away from rock 'n' roll isn't helping. :toetap05:
Yeah, for sure. Making people listen to certain things can only harm their growth in the long run, anyway. This works both ways, really. You have religious people only listening to religious music, and non-religious people who throw up when you even mention a band being religious. I know people who have heard Christian bands that don't really even talk about their religion, but the people say, "Well, they're a good band but I have a hard time getting past their religion thing." What? There are some bullshit double standards going on. Let people listen to what they want! Music is an important part of life and culture.
I sold my soul for a cookie years ago. Got it back at a pawn shop and then sold it again..... for another cookie. ...I'm so weak.
Exactly. Johnny Cash was really religious - but rocked. I thought we were in the fifties for a minute or two.
On the contrary, stuff like this can be damn good entertainment. Enjoy your own faith and realize the humor in extremists. If you want to kill a few hours: http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/Evils in America/devils_music.htm Titles include things like: Frank Zappa - the Man Without God The Beach Boys and Satan Elvis or Evils? Dolly Parton - EXPOSED! My favorite bit is the woman who conducted the experiment with the plants and found that rock and roll made them wither and die, therefore concluded rock music effects the nervous system and will cause the same effects in humans.
You're really smart. You must be a lot smarter than everyone at your school. Hopefully you have kids and raise them right because once someone is ruined you can't change them.
I'm not sure, but it doesn't feel like rock 'n roll to me if they're too much focussing on freaking people out. You have to make good music as well, otherwise you are just as rock 'n roll as the media attention whores in pop music, except with distortion in your sound.
