So if I retired, what would I do all day long?

At times I just want to sell everything and retire.

But I would get so bored.

I have to be in the marketplace of life. It is the only life I know.

Sounds like it is time for a change. A new direction.

    South America is calling.

Why Not Do What I Have Done.

Years Ago A Farmer With Very Large Machinary Offered To Lease The

    Whole Farm From Me.

I Accepted, And Although I Am Many Many Years Away From Retirement

Age, Technically I Have Been Retired For Nine Years.

Lease Payments Are Paid Twelve Months In Advance, So If He Has A Crop

Failure, I Won't Cop The Long Winge About "Can't Pay You" Just Yet, Then

Have Him Dissappear Into The Night.:(.

Tis A Win Win Agreement For Both Of Us.

    Give It Some Thought.

    Cheers Glen.

My mum retired a few years ago and now she's doing a Ph.D in archaeology and writing a book. Both have been her dreams since she was little and now she's making them true. I think that's pretty damn cool. :D Yay mum. So you know, retirement doesn't have to be boring.

I just think I need to simplify my life.

Living close to the Ocean in South America works for me.

Perhaps I will start an Orchid greenhouse or something like that.

My vacation convinced me that I will never retire. Got to do something.

I need a change of scenery.

This decision will no doubt complicate my life an a few years. But hay, that's a few years away. No need to worry about that now.;)

Well it not worth it if your gonna be miserable, maybe it's time for you to do those things you've always wanted to but never had the time. In any case have fun.

I know lots of people with similar-ish backgrounds/businesses to yourself UA.
They talk about retiring but below the age of 60 or so, they just aren't "built" for that.

I suspect u got to where u are because u NEEDED a certain stimulus. And couldn't live without a certain stimulus now?

Why don't you think of business or working but with a new twist?
Creative business- writing or visual stuff?
Something that is inventive/creates something new?
Or just directing others to do more legwork?

Are u fed up of the shit that happens in Belize?

When I retire, I'll spend the rest of my days traveling the world hunting for treasure.
