The Music Thread

im not being on traditional reggae or dub either, i like some of what ive heard: willie williams, king tubby, and the trojan ganja reggae compilation.

however, the modern forms of electronic music with dub in their name (dubstep, psydub) are some of my favs.

 

Psychedelic dub can be awesome indeed! Dub step is really not my thing, for one reason because it's too often mixed with hip hop, grime and drum 'n bass. I don't mind drum ' bass neither but at the right time and not mixed with dub stuff. Hip hop and rap are just not ment for me I'm afraid. Neither are the more boring reggae vocals (also heard those in dub step). Same with dancehall... then give me traditional reggae any day! But yeah, like I said, i'm annoyingly selective in reggae and dub

 

im checking out some of the songs from the new Eminem album on youtube, it's surprisingly good.

 

Psych dub is pretty cool and Idk about that dubstep either.It's not really my thing.

I like a lot of modern reggae/reggae rock bands.John Brown's Body, SOJA, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, etc....

 

Here's a dubstep song that's low on the genre's trademark earth shattering bass and has very little 'dub' left. its a pretty sick song, you might dig it

They had two songs in a Scarface video game I have. Ones called "Happiness" and the other is "Darkness".
