If you see a fellow dreadhead on the street and you happen to cross paths/ eyes meet etc, what do you do?

Do you give a little *yea we're cool.. we know dreads* kinda smile
    Or actually say nice dreads?
    Ooorr nothing at all?

Theres a few people at my uni who have dreads, like proper awesome ones.. I'm jealous xD I'm too afraid to say nice dreads xD

Dreads aren't just a hairstyle, any research into their history will show you that. Dreads are a potent symbol of the counterculture... I usually say 'what's up dread?'

there's one girl I always see around my neighborhood- she has awesome dreads- I never say anything to her because I feel inadequate with my baby dreads, I have self-esteem issues obviously

i was sitting in the passenger seat of a car at a stop light when a guy with dreads walked by, he noticed me and gave me a peace sign, i got all kinds of happy on the inside and gave him one back.

Once and awhile a dread head comes into my work, I'll look at their hair but that's about it. I have no need to make small talk.

I don't do nout realli. I stare at everyone and smile if I see someone who tickles my, fancy? Today I saw a dread head but didn't smile. He was wearing skin-tight patent trousers, but I did smile at this mother lugging a buggy out of her boot and stressing trying to get the thing up. I'm in the same position every day. I also smiled at an old man who tripped over a bannana on the street, I thought that shizz only happened in cartoons!

It's a vibe thing. Dreads are more likely to be good people, but not always.

If they look like my kind of person I will smile or catch their eye just like anyone with normal hair that I like... but half the dreadies look kinda goofy and I'd rather not attract unwanted attention. I always do feel kinda nice when black guys with dreads tell me they like my hair.

I will glance over once and if we happen to make eye contact I will smile as I do with all folks. If we dont make eye contact I dont force it or say anything to them. Most dreadies in my area are pompous hippy tards...ya know the kinds of hippies that look down their noses at you because they eat alll organic food, make their own clothes from hemp fabrics and wool from their damn sheeps and enjoy talking about higher conciousness and shit?! Its annoying. Most of them too have a weird glossed over look in their eye and never smile....Im pretty convinced theres a weird dready cult up the road actually. I always see members in town...they never make eye contact, and I always see the same dready guy with different dready women and he seems to be the dad of all their kids. lol. The kids are all dready too. They never talk either. Its very strange. I cant help but to stare at the dready cult people when I see em....maybe thats why they never smile at me? Im always gawkin at em. They prob think Im the freak...lol.

I know soo many of those snobby hippies. They are so annoying but you can always catch them out on something. Nobody is naturally perfect. I've caught many a hippy out and felt good :D

Theres 2 other dread heads at my college, but i don't say anything to them.

it loooks like they wax and chrochet there dreads, so they must think mine are shit :p It's too weird in my opinion to just go up and start talking to them because we both have dreads.. if they talked to me first though then i wouldnt mind.
