If plucking your eyebrows one thing to keep in mind is generally try to pluck from the bottom up, going from the top should be just to level things out. Plucking them really doesn't hurt that much, and after a few times you don't even feel it, and if you have nothing else to do it can be fun

    1. Yes transwomen will have sensation post op, as the senate part of the donor area is used to fashion a clitoris.

    2. The transition proccess is 2 tier it depends if you are going private or state funded like the NHS in UK. Private can take less than 2 years from start to finish, state funded can be as much as 4 years or more.

    3. The voice does not change, if worried about voice, then the appropriate action is to approach a speech and language voice therapist with experience in treating the transwoman's voice. I underwent voice feminisation surgery after 19 months voice coaching.

    4. this varies, but a rough approximate is

    • gender reassignment = £10,000 or $20,000 (cheaper in Thailand)
    • breast augmentation = £5,000 or $10,000 (cheaper in Thailand)
    • facial feminisation surgery = £15,000 or $30,000 (cheaper in Thailand)
    • hormones = £2,000 or $4,000 for 2 years RLT then aprox £400 or $800 there after on oestrogen only (as you are on this for life)
    • 2 years psychiatric assessment = £2,000 or $4,000
    • trachea shave = £1,250 or $2,000 (cheaper in Thailand)
    • 2 to 3 years facial hair removal via electrolysis and or laser = £2,000 or $4,000

so at a rough guess a 2 year privately funded transition could cost £37,250 or $74,500 not allowing for the cheaper surgeries available in Thailand.

    That is really hugely expensive.

It must put a lot of people off the process when the see the cost and everything else involved. I am a strong advocate for puberty blockers being administered before the onset of puberty. As it would prevent much of the secondary male physical characteristics that can be so painful and expensive to correct. Your voice wouldnt break for a start, the Adam's apple wouldnt develop so prominently. (It is a little known fact that most natal women have an Adam's apple as well, its just not as pronounced as it is in most men.) You wouldnt develop facial hair and all the other unwanted side effects of puberty that some females have to endure. Seeing as the feminising hormones are much more effective if they're taken in the teenage years along with puberty blockers, your body would have a more feminine appearance and breast augmentation would probably not be needed. I really wish I could afford FFS, but it really is too expensive for me.

I am currently waiting for an NHS funded operation. Though Im strongly considering going to Thailand instead, as I feel I could get better results (both in terms of appearance and in sensation) from one of their top surgeons.
