hey guys n girls, just wanted to know how many creative types we have that sell their own stuff, well my agenda is more toward the oversize woollen hat route, i would like to buy one from somebody
yeah...I tried to make my own tam and it came out looking like fuck all I know chemigals does great stuff, I'm probably going to order one from her when I get money, she has an etsy site
It isn't too difficult to learn how to make your own tams if you really want to. You can't just expect the first one to come out looking perfect either. Practice a few times and you will be able to do it not to mention it is a lot cheaper to make your own. I knit hats and I am learning crochet but my main thing to knit are socks.
I'm sooo crafty Im doing a ceramics and glass degree, I sew, I make felt stuff, any craft you can think of I can/want to learn how to do ^^ I'm starting my own website in the summer, need to get the hang of the site making first though xD
i just started crocheting slouch hats specifically to cover up my hair. lol. i'm building stock right now for my etsy shop- i'll be reopening June 1st for that. here's some of what i've made so far, though some of them have already been sold... http://www.flickr.com/photos/28831350@N04/3509213144/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/28831350@N04/3470123580/ sorry they aren't all IMG codes, but you get the picture. I'm working with a cotton/acrylic blend yarn now that is lightweight for summer I also agree with gretaoto- it's really easy to learn to make your own but if that doesn't strike your fancy by all means, check out sites like etsy.com- plenty of handmade stuff there.
oh holy jeebus. i didn't realize that pic was so effing huge. sorry, i'll resize.. it may take a few for photofuckit to reflect it though... lol
Hey i bought two of your tams!! the purrdy greeny-bluey one and another funky lookin' one...love them!
oooh i like creativity ^-^ today im ganna finish off a peyote bracelet that ive made for a friend and then im ganna start some fimo earrings for my mom i can sew.. cant knit or crochet though =/ really wish i could knit umm. on the less 'feminine' side of crafting, i <3 woodwork and getting a chunk of wood n just going at it with a chisel & mallet. fun times =]
Haha I love woodwork too!! I got a low mark in my A level RMT design tech cus I'm no good precision My motto is "eh that'll do" I have to use mallets and chisels for plaster too MMMM plaster carvings ^^ YAY FOR CERAMICS <3 ... and glass <3
