Too much ? Bloom, who has starred with and romanced some of Hollywood's greatest actors in a 60-year career, will appear next year alongside David Tennant, in his final outing as the Doctor. "It is happening. They are filming at the moment. I have been organising her schedule," her manager in America, Marion Rosenberg, is reported to have told the Daily Mail. www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/tvandradio/doctor-who/5240633/Claire-Bloom-to-star-as-mother-of-Doctor-Who.html
I'll take whatever I can get at this point, since Tennant's time is almost up and this specials rather than a season thing is driving me nuts. Same with Torchwood. They keep pushing this "mini series" back. I guess it'll just be one of those things we'll have to see to really judge because I was skeptical about the whole "daughter" idea and then fell in love with her.
If it is done in flashback then that will be ok. But if not, it will pretty much fail. Sadly, from what I have read it seems she won't be a sidenote, but will be in a lot. I'm not looking forward to that. I ask: Too much...because of the whole "daughter" thing...it could be done well but it could be a bum not to end his time on the series.
