child protective services and hippies

hay has anyone had a run in with the c.p.s./d.h.s. assholes you all know who im talking about ....theese are the only assholes with the power of god...the problem is most of theese idiots dont have children and we all know they dont have the wisdom of solaman....if u ave had a run in with theese assholes i wiuld like to hear your story...good and bad...and if u dont want to share your story to the public e mail it to me @ home4hippies@yahoo.com ITS TIME WE STAND UP AND CHANGE THE WAY THE SYSTOM IS BEEING RUN!!!

SOMETHING IS DONE!!! and if u would like to help me change it let me know i have many ideas that im trying to put into play and could use all the help i can get... if us hippies cant raise our kids where will the next generation of hippies come from????? my rainbow children were kidknapped a lil over a month ago by theese assholes...and i quit my job sold everything except my house and will be working on this issue!!!! my childrem were kidknapped literley then when they caught the assholes that stole my winabago with the kids in it they found out i was rainbow family and kidknapped my kids themselves...so yes first my kids were kidknapped by assholes trying to steal a winabago ...and then by the c.p.s./d.h.s. all within 7 houres... lets change the way things are beeing run!!!!!

 

I've not had any run ins with CPS myself, but I know quite a few who have.

We were visited once because someone overheard my kids saying they were hungry after we rolled out of the woods. cps found us at a hotel with the kids freshly bathed and eating takeout and she was like "people around here are so backwards, so please accept my apology for having to come out". I know that might not really help bro, not all cps people are assholes just wanted to say. You have to make as a big a stink out of it as you can, like the FLDS compound in texas; when they raided that place, the moms and dads wailed their grief and frustration so loudly the state was shamed. Give the state some public shame, get on the news if you can... peace and best wishes

yes i have had a run in with them. those that know me know why. i care not to go into it except to say your assessment of them is 100% correct.

they took the children because they said we lived in a winabago witch was not suitable liveing...

 

and we were not liveing in a winabago we came from m.o. to n.y. in the winabago to stay with my parrents ...we spent the night and were in n.y. 8 houres and this happened...they even put me in jail for endagering the welfare of a child im currentley out on bail for $1000 bucks.....its all trumped up crap to steal my 4 beautifull babbies they are also bitching about there names

I'm sure if you had been a good lil Preppie family they wouldn't have fucked with ya. I fail to see how traveling cross country in an RV with your kids puts them in danger. IF that were the case then alot of parents would be s.o.l.

You have to weigh what's really important here. I had to come to terms with it myself. The choice was be my own man, express myself as a free American, stand up for my rights to dress and look any way I liked and live any way I pleased or to raise my children like a good parent. And like it or not that means playing the game to some or all of the extent necessary to keep the heat OFF of you. People who see me now would never know I'm a pot smoking hippy and have been since the 70s cause ever since we had children I have maintained a disguise. I look like any other corporate dork out there. What's really important is to never have ANY exposure to the system of child protective services. Once you are in the system all kinds of automatic crap happens that will only cause you terrible grief and worse, terrible heartache for your children.

When you have children they become your number 1 priority. If you want to keep them you will have to learn how to survive within the framework of the system that's in place or it will turn around and screw you.

They will make you jump through hoops to get your kids back. Losing them in the first place is the height of being a lame parent. Get your shit together for the sake of the children and leave your agenda on the back burner for a decade or two. You'll have plenty of time to be an eccentric old hippy when you send your kids to college. Why risk having your children raised by strangers? Why even have such an option on the table?

 

There has to be a medium though, because what are you teaching your kids by conforming? You have to teach them to be true to themselves, no matter what their selves are. You can still follow the law and be a hippie, through my parents, I've known plenty. It's about decision making more than anything not entirely becoming what they want, but making good decisions for your children's welfare and I think in this case, the government completely overreacted.



And the name thing, they can stfu. People name their kids the strangest things, much much worse than you, because those names are beautiful. If the name thing is an issue maybe CPS should look into celebs who name their kids "Pilot Inspektor" or "Audio Science". It's ridiculous that they'd give you hell for that. I hope it all works out. I hate CPS because they over exaggerate.

THIS IS NO FUN AT ALL! these cps people are supost to be public servants, some of them act like 'public masters.' the "system" is shit. they have a very, very high turn over of people. caseworker is one of the most high stress jobs there is, and the best people who go into the field suffer extreme burnout, they are forced to quit, due to the break down of their health.
the system is left with inexperence people comming into fill the ranks, with little or no training at all.
they fuck up big time, as they are trying to learn the ropes.


it sounds like, you either got a caseworker, who is new to this field and, they don't know shit from shinola or, worst case, you got a caseworker, who is an asshole who belives they are a 'public master.'

I missed the name thing, seems like none of CPS's business unless you name a kid "Kill the President" or "Kick Me". I was not saying that people should specifically "conform" to society, but I did say they must learn to survive within the current framework. For some it will mean literally having to put on an act to keep the state out of their family. I never wanted to suggest that anyone give up their beliefs.

However, if your beliefs are counter to adequate childcare, you're going to have to learn to accept the crap that comes with it. But again, why gamble with your children just to prove a point?

 

I'm guessing the charges or whatever it's called include words or issues like neglect, living conditions, and the like. When people fuck with the man (Satan spelled backwards?), regardless of whether within my or your understanding of the law, well, sometimes he slap someone down. No suprises there and it's the same pretty near everywhere.

Here is what you probably need to do: figure out how to change the things that they've charged you with and do it. Unless there is trauma or positive cocaine, meth or opiate screens, you should be able to turn things around and get them back.

 

I think there's a lot more going on here than what's been posted, especially when I read the other thread posted by the OP of this thread.

While I have heard some CPS horror stories of folks losing kids while traveling to or from the Gathering, I have never heard of children being taken on the grounds discussed here, especially RV living. Heck, a good many social workers help families living in cars get any help they are eligilble for. Me'n'JuJu drew food stamps for short periods of time while our son was growing up & we were living in a school bus; we weren't shy about it either. One worker felt so bad for us that she did some weird family splitting so that we could get an adc check {rules said that a child with 2 parents in the home couldn't recieve adc, but JuJu's daughter was also living with us & she wasn't my daughter (tho I love her like my own) so the worker listed JuJu & daughter as a seperate family.}

And my last 2 cents is that I've known 2 families in 2 states (including NY) that had heroin addiction problems which caused them to lose their kids temporarily. In both cases, the parents got the kids back as soon as the parents proved that they were clean.
