One of the yet-unexplained wonders of science and the human brain is Synesthesia, and that just happens to be one of the most prominent effects I get, but I haven't noticed anyone else mention it. Multiple levels of synesthesia in fact!

One example of simple synesthesia was looking up at leaves in the woods at night and being able to feel them by looking at them. Another time I could feel a texture to each particular color I looked at.

As far as multiple levels, for lack of a better term... one time I could somehow see my friend's face in a totally different way. It had a color.. but not the obvious physical one that you see with your eyes, but something else. And this color was something that my brain would instantly decode as meaning "The face of this particular friend", just as the word "cheeseburger" translates into the object composed of so many separate ingredients.

This "color" also had an emotion to it and a physical sensation, almost like a texture, that I could experience all over me just by looking at the color. This "texture" also had a sound to it.

This sound somehow encompassed this texture, color, his actual face, the concept of what type of person he was, and all of my ideas and knowledge of him, etc. Or it was as if a single note on a particular instrument could instantly decode into a complete and immersive set of physical sensations related to an object, or a memory of them.

I still don't know quite how to describe it, but that's as close as I can get right now. I haven't gotten this with anything but sally. Has anyone else?

So true... makes me shiver a bit. It's definitely something different from everything else out there...

:D awesome dude. reading about synesthesia in school was so cool. salvia is great and greatly under-appreciated for its worth.

Have you ever read Strange in a Strange Land?

i think it's because salvia breaks down the misconceptions we have about differentiation and the distinctiveness of everything. because truly everything is one.

one time when i was tripping on salvia the room i was in became the song i was listening to. it was quite intense.

sounds intense. Closest thing I have experienced is mega zoom vision on cactus...

couldnt look up because the world was too intense so i was staring at the ground i was walking on and i could see specs of dust on the gravel. was sickening to the stomach lol.

dude i ate a bag of chips on salvia once and each chip was like one of those 41 flavour gourmet jellybeans. each chip was something different like a cheeseburger or an omelet

Being music is pretty fun, but outside in the woods will teach you many things too.

I am infinitely greatful to experience this on pretty much any psychedelic, from ganja to morning glories to cactus to sally.
