Its all part of the false left right thing.

If the power that be can put a label on you...... you become more controllable and you begin to act in predictable ways.

    Think for yourself

    Peace

I might be considered by some to be a 'liberal republican', although I would be loathe to be considered either. I consider myself to be a 'godless conservative'.

I identify most strongly with conservatives, in that they support limited gov't, individual freedom, and constitutional rights. I'm big on individual freedom, unrestricted capitalism, and our ability to stay armed (to deter tyranny). However, conservatives have many anti-freedom agendas because of their religion and their refusal to separate church and state.

The ways I support liberalism solely lies in their own pursuit of freedom (fighting against that conservative church/state thing): free speech, freedom of religion, freedom FROM religion, abortion choice, stem-cell research, anti-war (although that's the 'we shouldn't meddle' kind--not the cowardly 'flowers in rifle barrels' kind), and anti-drug-war (Drugs should be legalized). I absolutely abhor and resist liberal socialist agenda.

I support conservatives more than liberals because I consider Christianity bullshit to be far less of a threat to freedom than socialism. I'm a conservative in all ways except where their ideals and goals are affected by their Christian beliefs.

btw, Nixon was a 'liberal republican', but not in the way I just described. He claimed to be a republican, but his actions were liberal. Bush was a republican, but his bailouts and 'policing the world' were liberal actions. They're all fucking liars. At least Obama doesn't hide (much) the fact that he's a socialist idealist. Of course, he must be stopped at all costs.

    Liberal Republican: an oxymoron.

The last two liberal republicans were Nelson Rockefeller and Lincoln Chafee. One is dead, and one is out of office. The Republicans have been purging their liberal wing since the 70s when Reagan started gaining popularity.

I'm curious why so many think that Republicans are strong in the area of individual freedom. It seems to me that they are the "just say no" party and vote against every measure to protect and expand individual freedom -- the only exceptions being the freedom to own guns and the freedom to pollute. I could make a long long list of the times the Republican position has been against freedom. Want me to?

Libertarians, on the other hand, are truly in favor of freedom.

Federal Reserve and other foreign powers will never allow your suggestions to happen. They know what makes the most amount of money at the trouble of the general population and that is to keep jerking us off with these current Republican/Democrat parameter head spinning bullshit.

But as an individual, I personally agree with you 100% Unfortunately, people of similar minds aren't in positions of real power. Instead, we get asshole money system lackeys like Zbiginew Brezenzski and Henry Kissenger (both one and the same).

Supporting higher taxes does not make one fiscally conservative. Sorry.
