What did you do right after you graduated from college?

Did you find a job right away? Did you take off for a while or do something else? Did you go to grad school right away? Did you move back with parents or move out?

im nervous. im not ready for this.

 

well, im no better off having graduated. i moved back in with my parents for a short while and i am still on the job hunt. . .

i found some great internships, even after school, but nothing permanent.

my back ground is natural resources. call it bad timing for job placement, because most government agencies are drastically cutting back. hehe.

still, im in no rush to find anything. i don't really pride myself on a career.

I never graduated(FUCK SCHOOL!) but, my friend did and it's actually a funny ass story. Right after he got his BA in Business he opened up his own business and bought a house on the hill. 6 months later he lost his business, filed for bankruptcy and foreclosed his house. The thing is, he kept all of his possessions and is still currently living in the aforementioned foreclosed house.

 

get a job pertaining nothing to your degree of course! Now, get to waiting your tables little lady!

 

I have a Law degree witch I never used.

I took the Bar exam and passed.

Never moved back home.

Played the corporate game for a few years.

Using the 20/20 vision of hind sight I should have started my own business sooner and not waisted so much time in school.

Live and learn.

 

right after i graduated, i got drunk.

then i continued delivering pizzas.

oh my fucking god. There are 2 choices demonstrated in this thread. 1. Don't grow up & be a slacker-4-lyfe 2. Become a genius entrepreneur.
these are not going to work. but the current job market is probably the worst its ever been for a graduating class. congratulations to me!

You should be more optimistic. Worst case scenario, you get a 9 to 5er while looking for an entry level job in your field.

actually, worst case scenario would involve a bio-terrorism attack at the graduation ceremony.

so the good news is, that's not too likely.
