In my dream I am going to a friends house. I decide to go through the woods. In the woods I pass through a crossroads. I feel I am going north for some reason. I look back and see somebody travelling west on the road that crossed the one I am on. This person is wearing a white coat. I hurry along over a slight snow covered rise and then come upon a steep hill. No snow. Just a black road. I'm having trouble getting up the hill so I put my hands on the ground to, I guess, crawl up the hill. When my hands touch the ground I think, hmmm I've done this before...many times. And at that point it kinda feels like a lucid dream. Anyway I get going faster and next thing you know I am running like an animal on all fours. It felt amazing. Effortless. Propelling myself forward with my front legs. End of dream....Anyway I am thinking about this dream as I am getting ready for work this morning and I am putting on the white jacket that I wear at work every day and I think, jeez I think I was also the OTHER person in the dream with the white coat. At that point my whole body starts trembling and I feel very nauseous. I'm usually pretty good at figuring out my dreams but this one stumps me. LOL...was there a full moon last night??
I think it means... That you're moving North (which just seems to me like a 'noble' direction) to reach 'greener grasses'. The cross-roads I think is a choice, or a change. There is the you, who goes to work in your white coat, heading side to side, not really getting anywhere. Then there is the real you, the you that yearns to be one with nature, but feels like theres no way you can be one with it, because of the chains of society (The struggle to get up the road). Just my idea, IMO dreams are too relative to each person for one thing in a dream to have the same meaning for everyone who dreams of it. Hope this helps <3
seems that you're moving in a direction where you're working with your intuition more, your animal instinct - leaving the "logical" mind behind, going back to the cosmic or ancestral mind
Thanks guys you've given me food for thought. I've tried but I can't remember what animal I might have been Enid...I have a book called Dreamways of the Iroquois by Robert Moss (which I love) I will have to look for his Dreamgates book. The day I had the dream I had just completed some energy work...kundalini/reiki/earth energy thing and had also helped release an injured falcon back to the wild. I've also been doing some ancestral healing so the one with nature/intuition/animal instinct stuff sounds right, now that I think of it...thanks...windy
Windy, In some circles the direction North is associated with spirit - the North Star. Which never sets. The eternal guiding light that always shines - and gives us direction - and - vision - in the darkness of night. Even, the The Dark Night of The Soul - should it ever come upon us. It is truth - our point of navigation - to steer our spiritual course by. So, if you were heading North, it could indicate that you were heading towards spirit - and/or - enlightenment. Or, in a spiritual direction. Or, moving - walking - operating in spirit. And, I think the cross roads speaks for itself - you are at a cross roads and must choose your direction - possibly North towards spirit, or possibly, West towards ???. I suggest you do a little research on what West spiritually represents. Or, represents to you. I knew it's spiritual meaning once, but have forgotten. Probably, because it is to your benefit to seek out this point of enlightenment for yourself. I suspect that the running animal you, is your spirit [out of body?], running after the mental, physical, intellectual you. Which, is heading on a different path - direction. At the moment. And yes, I'm sure you have done this many times before - and, are very good at it! But, it is just now that the awareness of this is coming into your conscious level. Because - you are now ready for it. Meditate on this: Remember - the infinite power! Remember - the infinite freedom! Remember - the infinite speed! Remember - the infinite light! Remember - the sensation of breathing in the entire Universe with each exhilarating breath! Remember - the crystal clearness of vision And - it will come to you. I see a celestial, snowy white Lynx - Bounding forward - over a snowy landscape of forest and meadow - through - the starry mystic night - effortlessly! Joyously! Rippling with power! Coursing with life! Eternally! As if - it were bounding through - The Milky Way! You - are on your way! I feel that the message of this dream most likely has some significance, or importance for you. All this comes through me to you. From where? Beyond. Why? Because it is your time to know. And - you have also asked. Why me? I can't fully say. But - there is a reason! [I suspect repaying a past-life debt?] And because - somehow - I can. This, felt very much like channel to me. And, I hope that I helped. Or - at least gave you a good mystic fantasy.
Wow! Mojave.Thank-you! I will definitely contemplate on this. Funny you mention a lynx. I did some Medicine Cards (Jamie Sams) about 5-6 yrs. back. I remember part of it was something about an animal that sits to the right of you and one that sits to the left of you. I remember lynx was one of my animals but I can't remember which side. Cheers, windy
Windy, Whatever side Lynx was on, I feel it was probably the intuitive side. I see the Lynx in it's Arctic winter coat - sometimes solid and physical, and sometimes semitransparent, like an aetherical specter - changing itself at will. It - is vibrant! It - is noble! It - is regal! Just so you get the visual. Which I think is important for you. See and keep this image in your head, and call upon it often. Meditate on it, and the feeling of it, as it was in your dream. Like I suggested before. The more real you can make it for yourself, the better. And, the feeling is just as important as the image. I know there is something there for you. Though, I can't say what. I myself have a deck of the Medicine Cards. Though in truth, I seldom use them. But, when I do, I always find some truth/enlightenment, and good guidance. Time to refamiliarize yourself with your two animals - and their roles. It is study time. If I recall correctly, Lynx is the silent keeper of secrets [wisdom/enlightenment]. What message dose Lynx have for you? Let me know if I remembered that right. I don't always connect in channel like this. And, I never know when it will happen, about what, who, or why. It is, usually, unexpected and spontaneous. As if, I am suddenly serving some role assigned from higher realms. Which, I think is actually the case. I'm glad I got a close take on the animal - and - that it has connection and meaning for you. That - above all was visually clear for me. And, that maybe because, perhaps, the animal might be one of the most important points of information for you - TO WORK WITH. I'm pleased that there is some ring of truth and validity for you in what came to me. That, is significant for me - a door is opening - and the Universe flows in. Your dream, your growth, your evolution - in this case, participates in, and aids in, my own. Thanks.
Hi Mojave and thanks again...I looked Lynx up on a few different sites. It said that if you have Lynx as your guide you probably get alot of mental pictures...and yes I do. Sometimes I even have to block them. It also said that you like to step back and disappear at times and like to be alone. I had a laugh about that one. My friends and family tease me about those very things. I like to unplug my phone and sometimes don't answer my door. Alot of amazing things are happening in my life right now. Spiritually speaking, that is. A few months ago I received a message that said...all of your dreams are about to come true....and since most of my dreams are of a spiritual nature it was right on. Anyway, I will print out your posts and take the advice that you have given....Blessings to you....windy.
Yes, I do this too. Just so you know, I believe that Mountain Lion is one of my animals. Right or left I'm not sure. On several occasions Mt. Lions have appeared in my dreams. Once or twice as protectors. Which reminds me that I should look up Mt. Lion again and refamiliarize myself with it's attributes. And, I'm glad that I was able to bring up some useful info for you. Good luck.
