Hey all! Just wondering if any of you gals have read any books by SARK? She's got some interesting books, based on creativity,self-help, women in general. I just read two of her books-Succulent Wild Woman- and -Bodacious Book of Succulence. They were great-check em out sometime. Right now, I'm reading, ****:A Declaration of Independence, which someone on here referred to me awhile ago. It's extremely entertaining, somewhat extreme for some feminists from what I've heard though.
that's odd, I thought **** was by Inga Muscio (I may have spelt that wrong). Maybe I'm thinking of a different book called ****. I haven't had a chance to read it yet, alas. I know it's explains the origins of the word, and how it was originally a positive term for women, but that's my entire knowledge on it. Never heard of Sark though.
hey! thanks for the tip on the books! i haven't read them but it sounds like just right thing to read! peace!
i have transformation soup and succulant wild woman. have you seen her website? it's nice and cheery happy thoughts!!
http://www.planetsark.com/ i have never heard of her, but i googled her and i BELIEVE this is her website.. though i have not looked at it yet.
Hey all. **** is by Inga Muscio. I only have those 2 books I listed so far, but I am addicted. I read alot of women authors & I am a psych major so, SARK's books are so great. I really want to read Inspiration Sandwich and Eat Mangoes Naked. They all look good though.
P.S. I didn't see your sentence about reading ****! It's my favorite non-fiction book of all time...changed my life in ways impossible to list. Fantastic, fantastic book - Inga has such a funny way with words and is a brilliant woman. Do you like it so far?
Hey rocknrollgirl. I really did like the book. I finished it the other night. I like the way Inga writes and the topics she has the balls to talk about. I read alot of books like this & she just takes it that extra step further.
