Severe Chest Pains

The past 4 times I have smoked I have been getting these terrible pains. It feels like it might be my heart but I'm not sure.

It also kind of hurts my left arm but not really. Sometimes it's like a stabbing pain and sometimes it feels like my heart isn't beating fast enough or something.

I don't know why this is happening. I might quit for like a week.

Does this ever happen to anyone else?

Sharp shooting pains in the chest area, sometimes the left sometimes the right, it used to kinda freak me out thinking there was shit wrong but i know of quite a few people who get this so i wouldnt worry too much about it

Other Symptoms of Heart Attack:

Chest pressure
Sweating
Jaw pain
Heartburn and/or indigestion
Arm pain (more commonly the left arm, but may be either)
Upper back pain
General malaise (vague feeling of illness)
Nausea
Shortness of breath

Chest pains and pains in ur left arm can be signs of heart attack!!

I get them too, been happening for years. Sometimes in the chest bur normally arm pains, like this burning feeling on the inside of my arm. But I'm still kickin and pretty healthy, but I'd like to know what it is.

 

This happened to me a couple times before.. well not the arm thing, but the chest thing.
It's probably because you've been smoking too much or somethin. Take it easy for a bit, you'll be alright

 

I think a lot of people experience this and I'm pretty sure it's not from smoking. You're 16. I get them too. They're growing pains.

personally I get the chest pains when I'm doing too much coke or taking too much adderall. Have you been doing uppers ?

I'd say maybe cut back on drugs/pot/cigs, and start working out a little. (Since I bet your lifestyle is somewhat sedentary, :cheers2

 

As you are 16 its VERY unlikely its a heart problem, if it was, you would have some sort of heart defect, such as an enlarged heart, which would have probably been causing problems your whole life, not just when you smoke pot. Is the pain sort of in the center of your chest? Does your chest feel tight? And does the pain get sharper as you start to stand up? Those are symptoms of lung problems (not necessarily severe problems). Smoking anything can cause chest pain, just because any smoke will irritate your lungs. Your best bet is to always use a bong filled with cold water, or a bubbler filled with cold water, or a vaporizer.

Also, how are your highs? If your getting panic attacks, that could be causing chest pain, although its nothing to worry about.

 

hubby was diagnosed with costocondritis, which sounded like (based on symptoms) a heart attack to me, but is actually caused by inflammation in the chestwall.

ibuprofen can help reduce the inflammation, and relieve the pain. unless you are at risk for a heart attack its a lot more likely to be this. you could try a hot shower.
as far as the heart rate, being high can effect that and your blood pressure. dont get so high all the time.

and drink more water.

 

I get random arm pains and chest pains. Odd heaviness, etc.I know exactly what you're talking about. I dunno what it is, but it doesn;t seem to be affecting my daily life. Maybe it'll just stop if you go on as normal. Maybe something just pulled.

 

Maybe it is because you got hit in the ribs with a golf club the other day?
