Rude people on buses and trains

Always carry an iPod when travelling on public transport.

 

Oh yeah, number 1 rule, I'm lost without my Ipod on public transport. Sunglasses also help. Sunglasses, ipod, and a nice seat with no one else sitting next to you, then it becomes bearable.

 

Oh yeah. If only they'd give people a bit more space, more people might actually use public transport.

1st class on the trains really is a whole different experience.

And I sometimes carry sunglasses for traveling at night. You know, when they refuse to turn the fucking lights off and you can't see out of the window, it's not a very pleasant experience.

 

You come off and bitchy and easily annoyed.

It's public transport for a reason.

You could have simply moved away.

 

You should have took all of your clothes off and then started reading the newspaper...

 

Oh yeah, it's the bus. It's not supposed to be a comfortable ride lol.

I've seen countless funny/sad things happen while I've been on the bus.

 

You should have found entertainment in it.
The moment you allow something to annoy you, it becomes a million times more annoying. Besides, if he was wasted, he was almost certainly not doing this to annoy.

Strange. Peoplewatching and interaction on the subway is great fun for me. I don't understand why people go to such lengths to distance themselves from the people and world around them..

 

It is one of those things you have to learn to ignore. Public means any old asshole can come sit next to you and there's nothing you can do about it, except move yourself. Ive had to travel with my share of smelly homeless/crackheads, you just get used to it. Get a book or something and hold your breath
Alternatively, you can act crazy and maybe everyone around you will leave you alone.

Not long ago, a guy cut another guy's head off and ate part of him on a Greyhound bus...I'd say that was pretty rude of him...he should have said "excuse me" first...

I don't find it irksome really. So many different kinds of people utilize public transportation... kinds of people I am not used to at all, but I find it refreshing. It'd be pretty cool to pork in their minds and see what's up.

But then again, I love people too much.

ahhh.....that's ok then. i had just made a note to never use public transport in Oz. but i guess i'm good to go now.

 

You know what winds me up is when the train stop and people are standing there right in front of the doors trying to push their way on. Even if its not crowded. You know there's a million messages saying "let people off first", and there they are standing there looking stupid and you have to plow through them to get off the train.

I don't like Ipods.

What you should've done was... got over it. I doubt it was that annoying. If it was me I would've just concentrated on something else. If it got to you that much then just politely ask him to stop. Not that big a deal.

If not I grin and bare it.
Life is too short to get angry about things like this.
Plus nowadays I'm on my bike.

I would have said something, but at least tried to sound polite about it at first. If he tried to start something after that, I'm capable of standing up for myself. I'd like to think that the other people sitting around you would have came to your defence though if he got riled up.
