alrighty...gettin close to a month now...i've been gone for a while (new job schedule makes gettin on the internet a lil weird since i can't get on while im actually at work anymore lol)

anyways...i woke up this morning, and my hair was doin some funny stuff on one side, and i just thought y'all would like to see :D

that lil bit off to the side there was just doin it's own thing...unfortunately when i pulled it up into a ponytail for work, well, it's not there anymore...i kinda miss it, haha...you can't really see it in these pics, but the top of the backside of my head really seems to be sectioning off quite a bit...the rest seems to be trying...but progress is slow, which i expected, but was not prepared for...i knew that it would be around a year or so before i start seeing anything actually like dreads, but i guess i didnt realize just how long that actually is...eh...oh well...

i'll try and be on a lil bit more often, and of course i'll bring more updates as they come!

I am not at all sure your hair is the proper type for the neglect method... Especially if you wash it with shampoo... Some types of hair need a gentle nudge, some need a swift kick in the ass...But good luck at any rate, much respect for your journey my man...

Even when you're still shampooing it? And his hair is like stick straight... I don't know for sure, I'm just thinking it reminds me of asian type hair, and that really won't dread without a little help, or a solid decade.

depends on what shampoo he is using.

also, asian hair can dread given time. the neglect method takes a long time. im sure he knows this.

some people like to speed things up by wearing a hat, rough towel drying, driving with the car window down, etc.

t-shirt shortage...lol...no i just happen to take the pics either before or after i shower...there'd be a lot more than a t-shirt shortage if i had a full body mirror hahahahahaha

aye neglect method will take a long time...i'm not goin purely purely pure neglect, i am givin it a few nudges here and there...some rough towel drying...i wear a wool beanie from time to time and rub it on my head as i take it off...i've slept in it a few times (i never wake up with it still on)...little stuff like that...when i get the money saved up i'll start skydiving, which should help out a lot ... 120mph winds should create some mega-knots ya?

oh...and i've been washing w/ dr bronners...but i havent washed for about 2 weeks now

They'll get itchy and gross if you don't wash them at all, goign straight from normal washing+conditioning routines to total stop

yea wash your hair more often to begin with and slowly (1-2 months) wean your scalp off of shampoo if you dont want to wash.

also, taking pics after stepping out of the shower isn't the best time to see knots.
