Is smoking pot (habitually) a big deal?

Weed seems to make people enjoy themselves, but as I HATE people and want them to suffer I am completely opposed to it

Maybe it depends on the person. I smoked habitually for 10 years, multiple times per day. I found that over time it made me lazy and apathetic, and it held me back in a lot of ways. Now I am not saying this applies to everyone, but it certainly applied to me. Once I quit smoking I found that I had a lot more energy and was able to think more clearly.

Anything that becomes habitual, whether it's smoking pot, drinking coffee or spending money, cannot be a good thing, as it has a hold over you and becomes a controlling factor in your life. I like to have control over myself, not for something to have control over me, which was the case with weed.

any addiction is something to worry about/ a big deal, and doing anything habitually is a form of addiction. and everyone knows (hell, i'm proof) that smoking pot habitually does fuck up your mental capacity.

granted, she's 15ish and she has the right to make her own mistakes, and she will be more likely to make the right decisions on her own as opposed to doing what you tell her, but yeah, my advice to her would be to cool off a bit.

her arguments for smoking are pretty much the same as everyone's her age; she'll probably figure it out for herself in time, just like we all did...

 

actually, no, it's probably not a big deal, at your sisters age. i said it's a big deal, then read the rest of the post...


it's a big deal for an adult; for a teenager, it's something to keep an eye on...

Smoking pot habitually is not a big deal as long as it does not interfere with living your life and doing your responsibilities.

It is the same thing as drinking booze. But I do not drink alcohol any more.

I don't think that anyone younger than 18 should be a pothead.

It's not much of a biggie though.

 

It's a sign that all is not right inside, any addictive behavior is symptomatic of a bigger issue
