Unless authorized by the U.S. Government, Sun Microsystems, Inc. (Sun) prohibits export and reexport of Sun hardware, software, services, and technology to destinations subject to U.S. embargoes or trade sanctions. Government policy is to deny requests for such authorization in almost all cases. The following countries are embargoed per United States export control regulations. If exporting or transferring any Sun product, partners are responsible for ensuring compete compliance with import and export law, and verifying that they do not sell to any country or individual on published embargo lists. Cuba Iran Myanmar (Burma) - See note below North Korea (Democratic People's Republic of Korea) Sudan Syria I'm in none of those countries but get this error. Any help appreciated.
A lot of corporate networking and computer hardware is not allowed outside the US. Cisco, for example. If a Cisco product was made for the US, it is not allowed to leave the US, ever. There are encryptions and other security risks involved. Sun and the US gov't aren't doing anything wrong. This is a matter of protecting US citizens from identity theft and other major concerns. Same thing in the UK. If a Cisco router was made for the UK, it cannot leave the UK.
Helps. Thanks. But That is from the Java website. It does not mention the UK. I have downloaded it on my internet dongle before. But it does not seem to like my work internet access - it is https://www.my-cw-portal.com/cs/BlobServer?blobcol=urluploaddocument&blobtable=CWDocument&blobkey=id&blobwhere=1208157551433&blobheader=application%2Fpdf&blobnocache=true I probably should have been more clear.
i was more so talking about your personal firewall software on your personal computer. try disabling windows firewall when you install it or if you have some third party firewall also. i checked out that site and it looks like your isp may be giving you some difficulty. maybe try completely disconnecting your computer from the internet before you run the java executable.
this is the last thing i can think of that might work... first, make sure all the old java is gone from your computer. delete the folder c:\program files\java. then you probably want to clean out all the old temporary files, and the registry from old program scraps laying around. a great free program for this is ccleaner. www.ccleaner.com it i will keep there from being any leftover java settings from previous verisons. reboot your computer, and download this older offline install file http://cds.sun.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP...AAEYhek5AXuY&FileName=/jre-6-windows-i586.exe i then perhaps give it a whirl.
they state that you are in a certain place by the assignment of your ip address or by GeoIP or both i guess. sign your IP address and go search the internet for address locators and see what they say of yours. so exploit the most trivial workaround and try accessing the internet resource through a proxy. if you cannot directly access a real proxy try with a free web proxy. here a list: www.goodwaiter.com. or try an anonymizing proxy software like TOR or JAP. it is just like asking your old pal to go get a bottle of rye at the liquor store when you're underage, to make a US-based comparison. (it does not apply here btw, the law forbidding to sell alcoholics to underage people exists but since this is italy the law is _not_ applied , so kids start becoming alcoholics when 13 and you can find them collapsed on the beach at dawn . also ketamine and coke go great among kids. where the fuck do they get the money?) . hope that this simple scam works - i wanted to see "slacker uprising" but free download was limited to the US. a stupid proxy did the job. hope that mr. Moore won't get too upset about that.
Using a proxy lets me get to the site but chat opens up into another screen. This then does not bypass the firewall...so this fails. An IP locator informs me I am in England. (which I knew ) It looks like I am screwed guys. Thanks for the help, anyway. i am no friggin guru but this looks just plain like JVM errors, not network errors. maybe your java/Jscript installation is incompatible . what is the URL of the resource you can't grasp?
Will that solve this issue...or do you just really like Ubuntu Linux? Caused by: java.io.IOException: open HTTP connection failed:http://client0.addonchat.com/current/Client/class.class at sun.plugin2.applet.Applet2ClassLoader.getBytes(Unk nown Source)
