I dont understand why on google, if you type in how to cook, the first thing you get is "how to cook asparagus" its only 486,000 searches, Vs. 8.7 mil for how to cook rice... Its like its reading my mind today, thats what I was looking for
Because asparagus starts with "A"? Or maybe it is a popular thing to not know how to cook? Or both...
3-4 minutes in boiling water with salt, lemon and olive oil in the water. If you weren't looking for an answer, I apologize. PS-never use frozen asparagus. i made that mistake last month because most frozen veggies at Trader Joe's are pretty good, but not the asparagaus...horribley soggy.
Yeah Im not that fancy yet, I just bundled them together and stood them upright in boiling water, put a lid on it... Was so goood. Good for the brain
i've got dave all over grilled asparagus. i toss the asparagus with just a little olive oil, salt pepper and garlic and grill it till it turns neon green. HEAVEN.
you have obviously never done it before. broccoli, asparagus, string beans, and similar vegetables are perfectly fine in the microwave
you obviously don't know me then because i have. i can't stand veggies from the microwave. my mom sometimes does it to save time...i won't eat them. i'll make my own.
well why is that? what difference do you notice? all it takes is a quick zap - you dont nuke them to death, just like you wouldnt overboil them. anything cooked in water is going to result similarly from the microwave.
maybe i just enjoy it off the stove...i don't know. i just know i gag whenever i have veggies from the microwave. same with tofu...that is a no-go, no matter how well covered up it is.
Tofu is for weirdoes. Ive never had Tofu in my life, and I never will. Along with microwaved veggies. Im with ya there fitzy.
