A men's magazine for nerds

Would you buy a men's magazine if it contained articles about philosophy, arthouse films, science and technology and politics, if it reviewed obscure and interesting musicians and if it contained pictures of scantily clad, nerdy, girl next door types with real faces and real bodies?

Its just an idea of mine. I don't know if it is a very good one but I like the concept of men's magazines. I like reading about things and looking at half naked, attractive women. I just don't like how they are so "blokey" and how they seem to make genuinely pretty women look like airbrushed crack whores.

What do you think?

I could get all that information for free (and probably much better written and more extensive) on the internet.

 

The magazine has not been created or written yet so who can say whether anything will be much better written and more extensive, and the internet is full of junk. At the same time you have a point, it is all here and it is all free if you know where to find it.

i wouldn't read it, but i'm sure there would be a market for it somewhere.

 

i buy man magazines sometimes, in the Bulgarain Maxim they write some pretty fucked up funny stuff but a lot of interesting sophisticated stuff too. they give a lot of info about many things. and there are girls with REAL bodies! real bodies don`t necessarily mean ugly bodies , real body don`t necessarily mean that cellulite is a must so it can be 'real' enough...ya know.

 

sounds like a pretty good idea. you could even cut the whole direct nerd thing out and make it more subtle. like just discover magazine with half naked chicks in it.

 

Take pictures of girls who don't know how to use the curtains and paste them into the national geographic each month.

You could even get Nietzsches book and paste a different page into the mag each time. :cheers2:

I'm not keen on the idea of "real women".
That generally means average looking women who may wear glasses.
I'm not in to stick thin women...but the majority of mens mags have well rounded women with big breasts. This is how it should be.
I don't want to see "real women" thanks.

It probably is being done somewhere already.
Heck, I read a porn mag from 25 years ago...it talked about Muslims and a historic account of some ot the things that occured in Turkey.
It also interviewed people about their sex lives, in a mature and frank manner.
It was very interesting.
