There is nothing better for a kid to be doing under the age of 18 besides school, so I would force him to finish. My cousin was having serious issues with his junior/senior year, so he was homeschooled for the homestretch - if thats what it takes, so be it. a high school degree is the absolute minimum, my children will be educated. If he/she seriously does not want to go to school anymore, there is a larger issue to be dealt with - i will take the time & effort to figure out whats really wrong and deal with the real problem. but i will absolutely not take a stupid teenager's word that school is "useless" or whatever, as an excuse not to finish school. they dont know anything. but the fact that they would want to dropout says to me that something is really wrong, and needs to be dealt with.
i'm over joyed that i did NOT graduate with "my peers!" those people were, and still are the low life scum of the earth! i hated where i grew up! "best part of town," "best schools." most of "my peers" went to the "best colleges." have become the "leaders" in the u.s.a. "my peers," have brought upon us, the worst depression since the 1930's, and it is still to early to tell, if they shall also bring world war three upon us too! yeah, right, i'm really, really, really "proud" of "my peers" from school!
its what my dad did...then he got his GED...only to go back 20 something years later...test out of all the stupid prerequisites and have his masters in 4 years... i considered it too myself, but in the end i decided it was a good idea to stay... but people are all differant and learn differantly...the cookie cutter school system doesnt work for everyone...
That'll sound cool for a second until all his friends drive by in their new ferraris with hot hooker bytches flashing a smile with their sheer gold diamond dental grillz. I know more about pants than you. Trust me. We like gold.
I do not have any kids but if I had a son... Simple set up a trust fund that states he must graduate high school in order to get the funds money. Control by greed. If he doesn't he moves out with nothing. Let him wash dishes for a few months...he will change his attitude. I understand stupid fucks. I was one myself. Brutal reality is a real eye opener.
I love how you called 'em dental grillz. haha In the example Lode used, by the time they saw the ferraris, hookers, and grillz, they would've already graduated. By the time college rolls around they'll be smart enough to ask for proof in writing.
I was a high school drop out for about 11 minutes, I had to drop out to enroll in the school I wanted to enroll in, was a pain in the ass, but, it's how it works.
jigga plz, u luv mah way wit wordz. no one loves a crafty papa. i'm going to take on the role of the little voice inside of his hypothetical son's (who might already exist right now, idk, lode's a slutbag) head and warn him to make an if i graduate contract with the pops so he'll have a real reason to smile come graduation. justice in the bling.
I can't imagine why, since he is all about attending university...but you have to be 18 to legally not attend school here. If he wanted to drop out, something must be terribly wrong and I would help him get through it.
Didn't harm Bill Gates or Pele or any musicians /film people did it? Or lots of businessmen etc. Tell him "ok leave school, but it AINT gonna be the easy option.Tell me what u are gonna do full time".
Yeah, and how many people are on the other side of that coin? That's like saying your kid might win the lottery...
It was basically the same. He saw where the money was, and it wasn't with his chosen field. He saw an opportunity and took it. But yes, he is quite the smart man. And he has always been smart enough to hire other smart, talented people. There's something to be said about a high school education, yes. There's also something to be said about god given powers of logic and reasoning. Which is what high school education is really supposed to be about if you ask the teacher, "Why am I learning trigonometry when I'm going to be a chef?", they will almost always reply, "It's not necessarily the formulas, but the ability to logically attack a problem". Some people just have that naturally, honestly, and are pretty good about keeping sharp themselves.
